Hello, I just bought Diablo 1 on battle.net. I’ve had this game on GOG for a long time, but I want to have it on battle.net so that my friends can see that I’m in the game and that’s why I bought it a second time. Unfortunately, after starting Diablo, the battle.net launcher does not show my status correctly, i.e. that I am currently playing, but only that I am online. Is this “normal” or some bug on my PC?

My guess is that because D1 doesn’t log into Battlenet when running, a player’s status can’t be seen by Battlenet. Thus, the status can’t be sent to the launcher for players to see.
ok, so for me there is no point in buying it again… I’ve already ordered a refund 
GoG’s version is more stable ‘out of the box’, and they will provide support if you have issues.
It’s definitely the easier option of the two.
