When I log into Battle.net, it tells me there’s an update regarding data sharing. When I click “Continue”, it opens a browser window trying to connect to localhost:0
, and this is the error I get every time the browser opens:
This site can’t be reached
The webpage at http://localhost:0/?[...]
might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_UNSAFE_PORT
I tried to fix this by uninstalling and reinstalling Battle.net, removing any leftover files from AppData and ProgramData. I restarted my PC several times, tried all available browsers, changed network connections (although I doubt that matters since it’s trying to connect to a local server), and I checked the Windows “hosts” file to make sure it hadn’t been modified — it hasn’t. I also tried logging in using different methods and disconnected/reconnected my Xbox account directly from the Battle.net website, but nothing worked. I can’t log into my account from the launcher, so I can’t access my games — not even the ones linked to Game Pass.
by the way this thing is going on for two days, i tried to install the launcher standalone and from gamepass, same result. This all started because i tried to download a game from gamepass and i didn’t had the launcher cause i had a fresh installation on windows.
