Battlenet open a localhost url that dosen't work

When I log into Battle.net, it tells me there’s an update regarding data sharing. When I click “Continue”, it opens a browser window trying to connect to localhost:0, and this is the error I get every time the browser opens:

This site can’t be reached
The webpage at http://localhost:0/?[...] might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_UNSAFE_PORT

I tried to fix this by uninstalling and reinstalling Battle.net, removing any leftover files from AppData and ProgramData. I restarted my PC several times, tried all available browsers, changed network connections (although I doubt that matters since it’s trying to connect to a local server), and I checked the Windows “hosts” file to make sure it hadn’t been modified — it hasn’t. I also tried logging in using different methods and disconnected/reconnected my Xbox account directly from the Battle.net website, but nothing worked. I can’t log into my account from the launcher, so I can’t access my games — not even the ones linked to Game Pass.
by the way this thing is going on for two days, i tried to install the launcher standalone and from gamepass, same result. This all started because i tried to download a game from gamepass and i didn’t had the launcher cause i had a fresh installation on windows.

Same problem here, any success in finding a solution ?

same here . it get a page that cannot be reached and the app just stays signing in without signing in…

There was another post on this forum a little while ago about the same problem.
They solved it by changing the account that you are having problems with email to another email, verifying the email, and then logging in with the new email. I tried it and it worked perfect.

Yea i also have the same issue. I opened a ticket about this and was told it is a bug. Hopefully it will get resolved soon.

Same issue here, I guess it doesn’t have anything to do with me linking my xbox account since other people are having the same issue.

Can confirm this worked!
