Whatever you have done since January 5, 2024, you have screwed something up in the app.
Its not just happening to me but others… when will you finally fix things like that? Black screen and game hangs and its not us, its you always.
I’ve never had to reinstall the Bnet client since 2009 or 2010 (whenever it first-launched), including every day Dec 2023 and so far in Jan 2024. It sounds like you and others are running other software that causes issues with the Battle.net client, or have unstable hardware corrupting files.
Black-screens sounds like improper HW-acceleration and GPU-related, but may be able to workaround by disabling browser acceleration in Bnet settings. Game hangs are very likely hardware-based, even more-so if it’s WoW error 132. I suspect GPU hardware issues, bad RAM physically, or bad RAM settings. I would start with an overnight RAM test, drop RAM to 2133 safe settings if there’s errors and retest, and try different sticks by themself and isolate any bad stick(s). I found it easy to crash WoW and specific other games with too-low RAM voltage when I had a RX 580.
Since January 5, 2024, numerous users, myself included, have faced issues like black screens and game hangs in the app. Urgently seeking a fix and an update on when these problems will be resolved. Your prompt attention is appreciated.
