I’ve been attempting to Update my Game (Call of Duty) however it keeps failing with the Error Codes of : BLZBNTAGT00001389 & BLZBNTAGT0000138F
I’ve Uninstalled the Game and now as i attempt to reinstall im receiving the same error again.
I have a wired internet connection of 1GB Download and 1GB Upload Speeds.
The Game is attempting to be installed on a Drive with over 500GB of Free Storage Space.
Battlenet has been uninstalled and reinstalled but the same issue is active during installation of Games. Specifically Call of Duty…the Only game that is played.
Updates come from a content delivery server. If you have a bad route to it, a VPN can fix this by changing your route, since it’s another network outside your ISP. No one is suggesting playing on the VPN for this issue.
Why would my connection suddenly get worse overnight? Then I would have problems in other areas too. That doesn’t make sense. It’s always worked up until now. I would say that someone should check the update servers.
That is a question for your ISP. As a fellow player, I’ve given you the best advice available for troubleshooting your issue. If you rather continue experiencing it and not testing solutions, that is certainly your choice. Good luck.
I’ve had my ISP since 2016 and have never had any problems. It’s like taking my car to a garage and then later saying we couldn’t find any fault, you need to talk to your gas station, it’s the fuel.
but it’s always easier to look for faults in others…
by the way, I’ve been writing to Activision support for the last 3 weeks and have tried every conceivable standard troubleshooting… without success…
Im have the same error when i try to update my Diablo IV, for the last 3 days. Ive done all the blizzard tech fixes and im still getting the same error
I’ve seem to have fixed my problem. After two days of troubleshooting, I was able to identify and resolve the issue causing the BLZBNTAGT00001389 & BLZBNTAGT0000138F errors. The problem appeared to be a combination of a corrupted Battle.net cache, misconfigured network parameters, and registry inconsistencies interfering with the installation process.
By clearing the Battle.net cache, resetting relevant registry keys, and adjusting TCP settings to stabilize the connection, I was able to restore proper communication with Blizzard’s servers. Additionally, disabling IPv6 and running a full system integrity check helped eliminate any underlying OS conflicts.
After applying these fixes, the installation completed successfully.
In other words it fixed itself.
Games has been successfully downloaded and is now playable.
I’m not sure if unplugging and replugging the internet cord did the trick but it might of played a role.
The same failure (BLZBNTAGT00001389), both for updating and checking the game (Diablo III). But as soon as I decided to set up a test world for this game, everything is immediately available and swings stably.
Somewhere in your own Micro-soft servers with routes have crashed!
