Was working fine until prior update, was unable to get past the “Battle.net is trying to wake up” message for the past week, tried reinstalling Battle.net to download new patch and now can’t get Battle.net desktop to install.
Anyone else getting this error? Anyone found a solution?

I am having the same problem. Battle.net Updater is failing to launch/update.
Fixed my issue. At some point an installer had placed the library files in the Shared user folder. Once I deleted the blizzard folders in that location, reran the battle.net setup application, everything installed successfully.

just had the same issue, MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.4.1.
and just to whine, I’ve been playing WOW for over 15 years on Mac’s and having to continually do this silliness to play games I’m paying for is beyond ridiculous
