Battle.net Desktop Installer Stopping at 72%, going to 65%

Title says it all really.

Open the installer, grant it permissions, get to “Updating Battle.net”, it gets to 72% then jumps back to 65.

I tried to install WoW, but it returned error “BLZBNTAGT000008FC”. After exhausting my options trying to fix that, i decided to fresh install battle.net.

Uninstalled it using the uninstaller, deleted any leftover files in %appdata%, %temp%, %programdata%, etc, and then i get this issue when i try to reinstall.

Tried disabling my antivirus, etc etc, nothing works. As for the WMI Repository, when checking it with “winmgmt /verifyrepository”, it comes back “WMI repository is consistent”, so i don’t suspect its that.

Any help would be appreciated, just a little frustrating is all!

I am in the exact same situation.

I was unable to update WoW to the new expansion and following the troubleshooting steps I tried to reinstall the battle.net client. Now the client gives me the error you posted to tries to install and bounces between 65% and 68% or 0% and 10%.

In addition to the steps you listed above, I also tried flushing my DNS, hardwiring my connection, and installing the Chinese version of the client as was suggested elsewhere.

I’m having this issue too. Was it resolved?

i am having this same issue, anyone get it fixed?

Hey people! Unfortunately, I have exactly the same problem and have now tried and done everything that is on the internet. Is there an answer from Blizzard yet? Please help us… I bought the addon and now I can’t play because the Battle.net client doesn’t work. UNACCEPTABLE!

Has anyone gotten a fix to this?
