Battle.net App not saving voice chat device settings

Anyone know how to get this damn app to actually save the voice chat settings? Every single time I try to join a voice chat with friends, I have to change my audio device settings for input and output to the correct ones because the app never actually saves the configuration.

Nothing is wrong with my computer, the headset, drivers, updates, or anything else. I don’t have this problem with Discord or other apps and games that use the headset speakers and mic. This problem is only happening in Battle.net app.

Those settings are saved in Battle.net.config, a textfile in:

C:\Users\ YourWindowsUserID \AppData\Roaming\Battle.net

Check that that file is not read-only.

The files are not marked “Read Only” and the problem still persists. Battle.net app simply lies when it says “Changes saved!” when changing to the correct device for the millionth time.

However, I did find a permanent solution to the problem, which is to stop using Battle.net app for voice communications entirely. Instead, I’ve moved my friend to Discord, which actually works correctly.
