Battle.net app is stuck at updating

I purchased the Deluxe Diablo IV and tried to download the battle.net app. Double click the “setup” file and it started updating. But it stops at about half. And several hours passed and nothing progressing. Tried restarting PC but not working.

I have got the same thing. It just stuck there nothing happen

It has been a few years since my last playing any Blizzard games, and now I just bought Diable IV and tried to play and got this. I want a refund, because I can not play before launch

I just solved the problem by the following steps:
First, I changed the download language to English by

  1. in Windows task bar type “regedit”
  2. Find “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Launcher”
  3. double click “locale”
  4. Change the value to “enUS”
    Second, delete the blizzrd or battlenet folder under ProgramData in C drive
    Last, double click “setup” file again then it finished downloading in 30 sec.
    So the problem for me is that I downloaded the Chinese version at beginning and that caused the probelm.
