Bahrain/Batelco - Agent/Installation Issues

I’m having the same issue aswell. I live in Bahrain and my provider is Batelco, I keep getting the agent problem and I cannot install COD:MW. I tried deleting all the files associated and reinstalling but its no use.

Hey, iVulcan! I moved you over to a new thread so that we can track this issue a bit further. We’re aware of and tracking issues with Bahrain reports experiencing installation issues.

Could you try an alternative connection to see if it helps alleviate the install issue?

Let’s gather a WinMTR file for 5-10 minutes while the install issue is active. Use the IP/Host address: us.patch.battle.net Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

~~~
WinMTR Here
~~~

If you have issues pasting here, use Pastebin and post the end of the link. (ie. 123456 for pastebin.com/123456)

I was initially having problems connecting to the modern warfare server. After getting fedup and extremely frustrated, the battlenet up just wouldn’t load up fully, id getting the something fell asleep message.

So i decided to uninstall the app. After downloading it again. The installation is “updating blizzard agent”. Nothing happens. I dont know what to do anymore. This is really upsetting. Not what I paid money for…

Please help.

Hey, Kingmaan010! I moved you over to this thread to consolidate both reports. Could you provide the information requested above?

Hey, I hope you guys are doing well.

I am glad to find this thread because I’m having the same issue with bent app agent sleeping for the past period (from Bahrain and using Batelco provider).

I usually log the game manually from the games files to the point I can’t log some games due to not being able to update them. I tried many times to uninstall bnet app & delete the related files as the blue posted recommended. However, this fix doesn’t work anymore.
Therefore, I just used WinMTR file from the start of installation until trying to locate the game files (which is stuck at “waiting…”, please note that once I close bnet app and reopen it, the agent goes back to sleep.

As requested kindly find the below information:

I look forward to your reply and I hope this issue gets resolved asap.
Many thanks and appreciation for the support
Stay safe! :slight_smile:

Thank you, UsF7! I added this over to our tracking, but with this happening with a smaller region and ISP, there may be some issues with tracking the issue. The WinMTR test here is showing the problem starting closer to the home network or in the home/complex network.

| 10.11.12.10 - :warning: 1 | 604 | 603 | 3 | 21 | 167 | 4 |

I recommend to contact the internet provider with the WInMTR test to look at the test, and see if resetting the home network devices may help. If it persists, try a different connection to test.

Hi guys, From Bahrain here and I was facing the same issue.

What fixed it for me was installing a VPN.

Once it was installed I was able to update my games accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

I am having an issue similar to this with Overwatch. VPN didnt fix it. Been unable to play for over a day now and no assistance from blizzard through the forums, twitter, reddit, tickets.

Deleted caches (appdata, programdata, localappdata) un/re install bnet and overwatch.

I am having the same issue. it was working fine yesterday and i did not shut down my computer. I come back and it wont connect to the blizzard app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have tried a VPN and also did the WinMTR, cleared the cache reset my password and still am not connecting to the app i just keep getting the error code BLZBNTBGS80000011.

Hey Guys, try using a VPN that reroutes you to the UK not the US.

That’s what worked for me at least.

Hello @Caterpepi, I’ve been having the same problem for the past month and it’s been so frustrating. The work-arounds I have found that work 100% of the time are connecting to my phone’s hotspot which is with a different internet provider than Batelco, and using a VPN also works. These fixes are not practical though and I can’t burn my phone data on updates.

Also occasionally deleting Blizzard folders from %ProgramData% works before launching BNet but this process has to be done before each launch and doesn’t work all the time.

Here is the WinMTR file you requested I hope it helps find a fix because it’s affecting everyone I know who has a Batelco internet connection.
