Authenticator setup issue

Hello,

I am unable to setup an authenticator in the mobile app. When I try, I get the error message “Hmm…something went wrong”. This error happens over and over again.

I did get a new device and forgot to transfer the authenticator to my new device before i wiped it.

I am on the latest version of iOS and have tried the following:

  • Deleting the battle.net mobile app multiple times and reinstalling.

  • Rebooting my phone before I reinstall the app.

  • Offloading the app/deleting it and reinstalling.

  • Installing the app on a new device that never had the app to begin with (and ipad).

  • Removing the authenticator from my account.

I don’t know what else to do…please help.

Same issue here :confused: Already did all of the app troubleshooting you said above as well

Same here, I just get “Hmm… Something went wrong.”. I tried everything.

Glad i’m not the only one, thought i was going crazy. Same issue. Error code “[Unknown]”

I get Error code Unknown on android and just Oops something went wrong on Iphone

Same issue on Android & have also tried installing on an iPad. Really old account so may have had an authenticator many years ago so maybe a server issue rather than client?
