Authenticator notification random language

When I log into battlenet on my PC the login authenticator request pops up on my mobile device to accept or deny like normal. Within the last couple weeks when it pops up it where it says you have received a request from ‘insert location’ and ONLY the location name is in a completely different language. I’ve seen chinese, and what I assume is arabic so I can’t read where the request is coming from. If I click on the notification to bring up the authenticator app itself then it displays the location correctly in english like it should. I have not changed any language settings. I checked my account and it’s still English and there are no unauthorized login attempts. So why is my authenticator notification suddenly displaying the location in random other languages?

Also just an FYI but your support system is just awful. It took me 10 minutes of looping around your various support pages trying to submit a ticket or anything and it only giving me help article options. I had to specifically search for forums instead.

Hi there,

I am having this problem, too. I wonder if it’s an issue with the authenticator? It’s been going on for a couple of days. I have changed my password and checked all of the language settings. Nothing seems different or any history of changes or suspicious activity.

I think it’s the authenticator, more specifically, in my case at least, it’s the pop up notification only because if I go into the actual app itself then it displays the correct location in english. The notifications though I’ve seen at least 3 different foreign languages. Today, it was something that looked similar to spanish but wasn’t spanish so maybe one of the other similar latin american languages.

It’s not exactly hurting anything I guess but it just makes it look like you might be getting unwanted foreign login attempts when it’s really just you.
