Authenticator issues and "Oops something went wrong" msges

Told by support that I should post here, so I’m assuming I’ll never have the authenticator back but hopefully someone else has ran into this problem to issue it to blizzard

Whenever I log in on the mobile battlenet app the message “oops somethign went wrong” shows up non stop like a dozen times at the bottom left, just by login in not doing anything else, on top of that it doesn’t let me link the authenticator no matter what I do it simply shows an error and even when I can somehow click recovery code it just shows nothing or an error screen.

so far I have tried
-Changing app language
-The Cache delete, Uninstall dance on repeat
-Remove phone number
-Changed wifi and mobile data
-Phone being up to date (already was before issues started)

and so far support has been pointless nothing has helped. Anybody else experiencing this issue at all or found a way to solve this?

For context I had not opened the previous authenticator nor app for quite a few months, perhaps years, same for bnet on my pc and now coming back after what is basically a long time and trying to log in was impossible due to authenticator not working I’m assuming because of the change they did and forcing the battlenet app and some conflict given me not login in for such a long time.

SMS works fine once number is connected my account and been using that in replacement but the mobile app is simply just broken and non functional for authenticator purposes

I had the exact same issue and followed your same steps. I was finally able to login though.

On the login screen, there is a link that says something similar to Having trouble logging in. I clicked that.

On the next screen, I had three or four buttons to click. One was unlock my account. I clicked that and followed the instructions.

After that, I was able to login to the app again.
