Attempting to recover an old account

I stopped playing back in 2018, but would like to get back into it. I only played Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, so I can’t answer a lot of the WoW related account questions when attempting to recover.

I know my email and phone number that was associated with the account, but I do not have access to either of these.

I can prove my identity, but support tickets have been frustrating. They never acknowledged that I attached my ID to my tickets, and kept requesting more information such as descriptions of card backs I had, and addresses associated with the account. When I provided these, a different gamemaster would respond with another request.

Now I am unable to submit a ticket because I have “too many open requests” even though I have only sent replies when asked.

I remember my battletag, including numbers. I can prove my identity. I can answer most, if not all, personal details relevant to the account. I just don’t have access to the email and phone number associated with the account.

I would love to be able to have a way to deal with just one gamemaster that can help resolve my account issues, so that I don’t have different people who want different things.

I also can not submit anymore support tickets, apparently, so I have to resort to the forums. It does not seem like live chat or callback requests are functional anymore, either.

Hey Kraken, sorry you’re having issues recovering your account. I went through similar experiences when WotLK launched and then also with D4. Blizzard support was very helpful and prompt in addressing my issues. Hopefully you can get your account recovered soon!

I wonder, is there a way blizzard can reach out to Kraken and help him/her resolve this issue?

Also, I find the X platform (formally Twitter) is a great place to reach out to customer service for help. They seem to be prompt in responses when more eyes are on them.

Account searching can only be handled through the ticket system. If you have already put in tickets, they will answer them in the order received.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, they have responded asking me for more information. I could only respond by creating another ticket. Now I am not allowed to create another ticket to respond because I have too many open tickets.

Now I created an account so hopefully I can keep everything handled under one ticket. But I do not need to search for the account, I know what it is. I just need to know what Blizzard needs to recover it.

I do, but the forum is a player-to-player discussion area, so you would need to continue working through the tickets.
