First let me say that I’m not an API developer or anything, I have absolutely no experience with this kind of stuff. Having said that, is there going to be any D2R APIs in the future?
From my (very limited) understanding, APIs could enable the possibility of stuff like linking character stashes from Bnet to websites right? That would be a huge boon for trading websites to easily share what items one has to offer for trade.
Another possibility would be sharing character info (level, attributes, resistances, how much gold you have, what difficulty you’re in, etc.) out of game, kind of like how the program DiabloInterface links your ingame info to diablo.run, very useful tool for original D2 speedrunners.
It seems like there’s a lot of possibilities for useful APIs and it’d be great to see them for D2R.
