i was playing diablo IV just fine yesterday, today i apparently need to install the game agasin but it is already installed and when i press locate game it just says that this folder doesnt contain the correct version of this game. what do i need to do?
That likely indicates an issue with the Desktop app that handles game version detection, installation, and patching. I have seen it forget where a game is before, but not the error that the game is the wrong version.
There are a few things you can do:
Go into the Desktop App Settings > Game Settings > World of Warcraft drop down > Install Location. Make sure that location matches where you have the game installed.
Second, in the settings make sure that under Downloads you have the game set to automatically update based on your preferences.
If that does not work, you can clear the Battlenet Desktop Launcher Cache which often helps.

Last - sometimes a reboot helps. There can be multiple instances of Battlenet processes running which may cause issues. You can either clear them from the task manager or reboot.
