Agent.exe - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000005). Clock OK to close the application.

This pops up when i try to get on the battlenet app. The app opens but cant load proparly.

I cant even uninstall the app because then this pops up.

Have you tried to “add the Battle.net App to your security programs exceptions list” as suggested in the Support article for that error.

Uninstalling the Battle.net Desktop App

You should also delete the other folders that are possibly used by Battle.Net, as recommended here:

we would want to see if nuking the Battle.net Application helps. The steps that follow are more thorough than a basic uninstall and covers every location that temporary files may be stored to ensure a fresh install is done for the app.

1. Uninstall the application
2. Press Windows key + R and type in %temp%
3. Delete anything related to Blizzard or Battle.net
4. Do the same for %programdata%, %localappdata%, %appdata%
5. Reinstall the application. A fresh installer should be downloaded for this

If you run kaspersky, maybe this works (it’s german, but you can translate this):

1. Selbstschutz in Kaspersky deaktivieren.

Kaspersky öffnen > Einstellungen > Allgemein > Selbstschutz > Haken entfernen > Speichern

2. Gehe zu C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP21.3\Report

und entferne den Inhalt des Ordners. (Beachte, für diesen Teil musst du Kaspersky komplett schließen, nicht nur deaktivieren, da die Dateien, die du löschen möchtest, sonst “in Gebrauch” sind. Du kannst es nach dem Löschen der Dateien wieder öffnen.)

3. Selbstschutz im Produkt wieder aktivieren.

Kaspersky öffnen > Einstellungen > Allgemein > Selbstschutz > Haken setzen > Speichern
