Blizzard launcher and all games (except COD games) are playable on Linux/ Steam OS with proton and custom wine versions.

The easiest way to install for everyone would be
https://lutris.net/games/battlenet/. Lutris configures wine and allows you to select custom proton versions as well to run the blizzard launcher and titles. As a user you simply will have to install lutris and hit the install button on the website or inside lutris. -
Technical details - wine, DXVK (Direct X 9, 10 , 11 translation to vulkan), VKD3D (Direct X 12 to Vulkan) and many more components are part of these custom wine versions and proton that run all blizzard titles natively on Linux and hence the steamdeck.

As a user you don’t have to worry about configuration. As you simply have to hit the install button and proceed with the Battle.net installation. If anyone has any query (even if its stupid) I will reply on this forum post. I don’t have the right to include links or help in wow forums but I hope this thread reaches to them.

→ As someone who has played all Blizzard titles on Linux, it is pretty reliable. Usually using a custom proton / wine from lutris game configuration fixes the issues. For the best level of support Lutris also has a discord server.

Lutris is a game launcher for Linux, It has configured installers for everything so you can simply install stuff like Uplay, Battle.Net, Origin, Epic Games Launcher and also allows including native steam games so you can launch everything from this single app. It also has yuzu, RPCS 3, citra and other features integrated.
