Account recovery frustrations with authenticator

I took a break from WOW before the authenticator was pushed and never set it up. Now when I try to log in it asks for authenticator. But the authenticator is within the battle.net app. And when I try to log in to the app it asks for auth, so I can not even use the app. I select remove authenticator and it asks me to verify with authenticator to even remove authenticator. There are no other methods of account verification and support is so bad. There is no phone number or live chat. The email tickets take weeks to get responses and then I have had them just close the tickets in the middle of working through and make me start the process over. Has anyone figured out an easier way to do this? I have tried so many times over the last few months to get my account back and it just cycles me through this frustrating process with no resolution every time.

Any suggestions welcome, I just want to play :frowning:

I had this same issue today, one of many I have had with Blizzard’s apps. I ended up needing to remove the authenticator from my account which I did directly from the authenticator app. I clicked “can’t log in?” button and then selected “Remove my authenticator” which then provided an “SMS” option to verify your account. I’m guessing you may have tried that already, but the SMS option was only available when going that route so I thought it at least worth mentioning.
