Hello. I have found out today that something called “agent.exe” has used up over 21 giga bytes of my internet. I have a data cap. For comparison, the only other games ive played take at most 1.4 giga bytes this entire month. Is there any way to stop this?

Agent is the patch service. If any games were installed or patched that would be the cause of the data usage. It might be ideal to go into the Battle.net app’s settings and set the install/patch to manual. That way you can pick and choose when to patch depending on how much data you have left.
Might also be ideal to close the app when not using it. Under general settings, change “When I click X at the top of the window” to “Exit Battle.net” - In this same menu you can also set it to automatically close itself after launching the game.
These steps should help limit data usage. Hope the info helps.
