Absolute worst experience with support

I have had the absolute worst experience with Blizzard support and I feel like I’ve run out of options since its literally impossible to get ahold of someone at this company so here I am making a post on these forums as a last ditch effort. I haven’t even wanted to play the game because I feel so ripped off.

I’ll start by mentioning this relates to the game Diablo Immortal. On Saturday I opened the shop to purchase the Kikuras Rapids Trove bundle. You can only buy this bundle once. The purchase failed the first 2 times and after restarting the game was successful on the 3rd. Anyway, my credit card was charged 3 times but of course I only received the products from the bundle once.

I didn’t think this would be such a huge issue but it has been. I requested a refund for the 2 failed purchases that I did not receive product for, the refund was approved and I thought “okay cool no worries”. Fast forward to Sunday I login to find that 1200 orbs were withdrawn from my account (2 bundles worth that I never received to begin with). As a result I was placed in a -1200 orb balance which locks you out of most things in the game.

I was annoyed but I figured I could easily contact support and get this sorted out. I very clearly explained my situation in the ticket I opened about how the orbs never should have been withdrawn because they were never received to begin with. The response I received from a so called game master the next day was absolutely useless. They essentially said “we’re sorry about the frustration with the negative orb balance, you’ll have to purchase more to put yourself back to 0 or in the positives.”

I am so insanely annoyed with this response because it completely disregarded the issue I clearly outlined in the ticket. The orbs should have never been withdrawn from my account because the product was never received for the 2 failed purchases that hit my credit card to begin with.

I don’t understand how this isn’t clear, I don’t know how to better get my point across to these useless support personnel. I’ve been ripped off 1200 orbs and theres been nothing but dead ends dealing with this.

I want someone to address my problem immediately, this has been completely unfair.

I agree the customer support use to be ok now sense ACTIVISION support sucks I opened a ticket and a day later I get a need more information request that I supplied eight hour later I Message a need for Information this time its for another player and not my complaint after I inform them about the mistake I then receive another request for information to which I replied I’m but I sent you guys the information five-days later after texting with five or six different GMS I’m still replying to need more information how happy they are to help me only to get a

For the love of christ. I submitted another ticket about the same issue and this time the person responding said i should speak to someone at google about why I didn’t receive items.

You guys are useless.

I had a similar issue regarding in game purchases that were made in error and was told by the gamemaster they can not refund in game purchases and to contact Apple Pay. Apply pay said they don’t qualify these purchases for refund without explanation. I have since opened up a dispute with my credit card regarding the erroneous purchases. Fast forward 2 weeks later as I continued playing and awaited things being sorted out….my account is locked. All of my active and archived tickets have been removed from the Battle.net website and the website will not allow me to submit any tickets. How is this in any way, shape, or form considered legal that goods and services are paid for and when not appropriated received the customer has no recourse and ability to communicate with the seller?

The website seems to be experiencing some issues right now with ticket submission. I see several reports on that across the different boards. That will hopefully be fixed soon.

So you did communicate with the seller and they denied you a refund. I am not familiar with ApplePay’s refund policy. Here is Blizzard’s refund policy though.

You said you made purchases in error - not that they were not delivered. I gather Blizzard granted what you actually bought.

Ah, a chargeback. I can take some guesses on what happened here.

Your bank executed a charge back and gave you the money back. It means they took it back from the vendors. Vendors who have granted goods or services that you paid for, don’t like it when you then take the money back - that is considered fraud. That is why you do not have access to your account anymore. You bought something from Blizzard through apple pay. You received what you bought. You tried to get a refund that was outside the refund policy of the vendor. Instead of accepting that you were not entitled to a refund, you did a charge back. The vendor will now lock the account until you pay them back for what you had received.
