7000 Error Persists

“Also, be sure that both you and your friend you are trying to message do not have each other blocked and have checked the parental controls (if turned on) and your privacy settings.” - Clearly you didn’t read ANY of the ticket, I also dont believe for one moment Blizzard has a business model where support can’t talk to the DEVs. It’s counter intuitive and I’m willing to bet an outright lie. SO I am going to recap the entire problem, Steps I have taken so GMs like Rilnoth stop getting confused.

Issue:

  1. Individual can be whispered by other players on diablo 4 but cannot whisper anyone not on their friends list.
  2. Battle net app messaging is suffering the same issue. Only Difference is with battle net app, trying to respond to non friends gets a message with a error 7000

Steps to attempt to fix:

  1. Set D4 Profile to public
  2. Set Messaging restrictions to Everyone
  3. Had Support Reenable SMS Messaging
  4. Set all Items on Steam to have no restrictions
  5. Set Xbox Game pass to have no restrictions (Then unlinked Game pass)
  6. Made sure both Battle net and Steam were running in back ground before Diablo 4 was started
  7. Attempted to Start Both after diablo 4 was started
  8. Currently running Diablo 4, Battle net PC App and Steam in Admin mode
  9. Rebooted PC
  10. Cleared and changed default web browser (This is where I was getting kind of silly)
  11. Requested Parental controls have been removed(Was assured they never existed for this account)
  12. Requested all influence from formerly connected XBOX Game Pass be removed (Subsequently ignored)

In order to trade, talk to individuals or Party with Anyone I have to add them to my friends list which rapidly becomes unmaintainable. I have opened multiple accounts to being sent spam all in an effort to troubleshoot a bug you claim you cant take directly to the devs. No such business model exists and I don’t appreciate being lied to. If GMs cant do it, a supervisor can, If they can’t then a manager can. I will Keep this ticket open as long as I possibly can or until someone gets on here who knows how to fix this issue or you put the issue in front of someone who will investigate it.
