Its just a bit wierd to see a new way to tame a pet family being tied to raid content. Where previously it was from world content related to the pet family or through a soloable questline.

While I get they are releasing it when the next raid is going to make uldir very easy due to the ilvl buffs I think blizz should have waited to even release the tome until the next raid was out. Right now it just invites people (Myself included) to feel like they’re missing out on what was previously a cool reward for world/quest content.

No. Don’t put words into my mouth. I SPECIFICALLY said a pet type. If it was a coloration, it’d be different. But don’t try to twist things. It’s an entire group, not a single color, mount, achieve, or whatever. It’s the entire group. Hence you not getting it.

I wish there was more of this sentiment floating around, it is perfect.

Seeing people with unobtainable transmogs or mounts makes me go “oh cool”. It’s interesting. It’s special. It makes MY play experience better when I see OTHER people have things I can never get.

And that’s mogs and mounts. Perfectly reasonable. Rare coloration. Again, reasonable. But t the entire type is not.

It dosen’t matter if it’s the “pet group”. You think “pet group” is over the line for being too interesting/big as a special reward. It doesn’t really matter where that line is drawn.

All it makes me think is “someone got paid to do that, and it’s basically wasted time and resources” kind of like Azerite since it won’t be around next expansion.

While I can agree with armor this is a pet family. Something that has previously not been a prestige item. It isn’t quite the same as armor because of the fact it isn’t tied to some enormous feat. Not to mention the pet family isn’t a cosmetic reward and is actually useful in several scenarios as a ranged slow.

Being the only family of pets to do so its unbalanced for a small subsection to be mechanically rewarded for doing content that is voluntary.

The fact that it is in the game impacts EVERYONE. Not just the people who have it. When I see something interesting, It can improve my experience without me having to own it.

So is having a trinket that’s good in PVP drop off a raid boss. Exclusive mechanical rewards is nothing new, even if it’s died down overtime.

Rofl, no it doesn’t, most people don’t even pay attention to other people. Someone having a Mythic mount doesn’t affect me. This is the exact reason LFR exists, not enough people raided to cover the cost so they had to bring more people in. If it wasn’t so cheap to do a reskin it would be a bigger deal. But this is a whole family of pets with a unique ability, it should be available to all levels of the raid.

No worries.

And i agree.

And blizzard is not pleased with that existing.

A trinket is different as multiple classes can use it and is fundamentally seperated from a class aside from the given roles of ranged/melee dps, healer, or tank.

Pets are tied to the hunter class as a whole. In this scenario it’d be like having entangling roots be a melee ability for everyone but, for those who did heroic (insert raid here) its a ranged ability. That changes the game for a variety of content.

You join a raid and bail on it just like the person you are responding to would do.

I don’t know what do say other than I now fully understand why you think this is bad and also feel sorry for you.

No, I feel sorry for you, since you obviously care so much what others have that you have to pay attention to it all the time. I just don’t want them wasting resources on things only small portions of the player base have a chance of getting.

So what you’re saying is, we’ve come full circle to vanilla where: If player X = huntard, then do not invite. Sweet.

Considering hunters can only go as DPS and don’t have tank or healer specs to fall back on to get us into raid, and this bug may hurt our chances of getting in even more. Yeah, putting it behind, not only a raid, but a Heroic raid is bad.
