Opposite here as a fury warrior–our melee luck has been garbage.
Running 2x MC a week since week 4-5 we’ve seen:
It’s become a meme that our melee can’t get gear to save our life from MC.
But I’ve had 2 raids where I’ve seen 2x ToEPs drop in the same night (and 1 last night, probably up to about 8+ total). We probably have 8+ mageblade and 6+ SoD in guild. 2x Robes of volatile power went to pallies last night. 2x lokamirs from first 2 weeks in BWL. 2x rejuv gems last friday for 4x total (and still only 1x DFT total).
ZG is great for me to get caught up to our rogues…zandalar belt gave me a stepping stone to onslaught, and breastplate of bloodthirst is a good piece to save for when I can break my black dragonscale set (need DTP And I can buy abysmal legs). I’m honestly too lazy/too consumed with raiding on multiple chars to go for SGC at this point with ZG having an option.
The offhand warblade would be great too because I’m stuck with Viskag + doom’s edge (no dwarf/gnomes in raid needed) as a human warrior also.

Not only is there no mainspec loot for me the only thing I gain any benefit from is the shoulder chant. I’ll still run it for my guildies and on my alt but I will be happy to hear the GM say “we’re doing 1 run a week for the world buff and thats it”

There is some ok loot in ZG for a DPS warrior but so many slots have better items outside of it, many of which are pretty easy to get.
The bracers and neck are pretty high tier side-grade material. And ofc, bis healing set stuff.
I feel you. We’ve had a single CTS in BWL and no other melee DPS loot. It seems like it rains Maladaths for other guilds, but we see nothing but trash week in and week out.
Heck, we’ve only had one Vis’kag, but it looks like every damn rogue on the server has one. (We’ve had 3-4 Deathbringers, though.)
Classic WoW RNG is obnoxious. I’ll be tanking with Brutality Blade well into AQ40, since I’m third in line for Thunderfury.
ZG hasn’t been anything special so far, either. Someone in my own guild took one of the idols for my enchant, and we got both claws drop in the same night. Despite winning the first roll, and then second on the second set (don’t ask), it got sold to the third highest. ~_~

The neck is certainly good but not that far off from the one from Onyxia. The bracers are nice, probably the closest to BiS for anything in ZG besides the neck.

All I’m saying is that ZG tends to be amazing for casters and decent for tanks but DPS Warriors really don’t get much out of it.
Yeah, I agree I was just pointing out a couple of nice side-grade pieces for normal BiS, not exactly better but not exactly worse. Everything else is like the belt really, it’s good but it’s just a stepping stone to something better.

For my warrior this is ~88-90AP equiv.
I have deathdealer’s which is about 80AP-84AP equiv. Maybe gets close if I have kings + zandalar buff, but it’s not better by itself at 30-32AP/crit equivalent.
depends purely on how much hit you need to function. I could easily squeeze out another 1% hit from somewhere else and get a solid upgrade on that neck (maybe)
there are too many warriors in this game
These bosses actually have a lot of abilities the playbase isn’t aware of cause their health pools are so small they get burned thru before they have time to use them.
For example, Venoxis summons little cobras that infest players for dot damage, but he doesn’t summon them til he’s at 25%, so ppl don’t really see it. He also dispels his adds, but ppl don’t notice that.
Jeklik has an aoe leeching bite that hits everyone in melee while she’s in bat form, and she ends up healing for quite a bit, but not enough for anyone to notice as she gets burst thru.
Jeklik actually has 11 abilities of her own (not including the ground fire). I think ppl think she has like 3, cause that’s all you notice on her fight, lol.
