If you were one of the Losers who exploited in order to spread the auto-death to lowbies and new players sure it was. Folks like that got their kicks ruining others game play.

Imagine living in a world setting and all of a sudden a zombie invasion came through. Do you think the zombies will give you an option? An invasion is a forced event, and to survive it is the key element to it.
Now I do not understand why people are dying left and right, when I leveled through the invasion I was only attacked by a zombie once. Reading through these posts, I am seriously wondering if people are just being over dramatic, or the zombies don’t love me.
I think if you use Chromie, the zombies are not around, never got attacked when I was in a timeline. I guess THAT is the option to not take part.
It’s not even that, these zombies are physically just weaker. They take on a lot of damage just fighting a simple guard. It requires a pack to really do much.

I like when developers step outside the box and while i get its not brand new its only been done once 12 years ago. We’ve had multiple xpacs of dailies, rare farming and chores. Nice to get something different for a change even if its not perfect or for every type of player and only for a week.
Do we want to go back to tons of dailies and rep farming? Or encourage blizzard to try something different? Personally i would pick the second option.

The point here people is that some of us would like to be able to “opt out” because we do not enjoy PVP. This is why we have it disabled.
Those of you who enjoy PVP can have your Zombie Invasion event and enjoy it all you want. We just want the choice to enjoy the game the way we always do by doing quests etc.
Blizzard has force us in to a PVP event so we now have to either participate or just not log in. Think about how you would feel PVP was not allowed for a week. That is how we feel about it being switch on for a week.
It is about choice people, not about the event. We want a choice.

Fair point. I just don’t see how an event that hasn’t happened since 2008, lasts a week, and can be fairly easily avoided has caused such a stir. Even new players or people rolling alts can level through exiles reach and get the immunity buff.
I thought it’s a fresh idea to be able to become a zombie and kill same faction.

While I agree with this - I liked the idea of the event requiring WM so that I could partake or not as it suited me - the rest of your post is laughable.
Unplayable? Compensation/refunds? Comments like that make me actually laugh out loud.

First, I rarely pvp unless it is for a pve reason.
I very very rarely engage in wpvp.
That said, being on a very populated server/realm, I have not seen any zombies. I have been in Org, SW, and other major cities. I have been in Mechagon still killing Rust and Harvester and checking if I can work on THAT LAST META to finally finish. #DiscsOfNorgannon. I have been all over places yesterday and today running my normal daily adventures.
If I do see some zombies and they do kill me… I will just think of them as another pve element. I can choose to fight them, sneak around them, or just play in places they aren’t.
I can’t fathom how this is upsetting people. What specifically is this week long event stopping people from doing?

people can just run as fast as they can while they are turned into zombies and kys with zombie explotion far far way the fiesta you can then go anywhere you want just stay away big cities this week
THERE IT IS!!! A CRYBABY that made the event unenjoyable! You literally click to an NPC and the infection goes away I dont know what your problem is! Turn off your WM? I am not sure what you are talking about, never had this issue!

I didn’t read your entire post, but I think I know where this is going and I agree that this is just not something I’m interested in playing.
For one, this invasion is not much of an invasion and is very boring. Because it is so boring and not much of an invasion, I also can’t bring myself to play the game. I did the quests on one toon yesterday and logged out. Maybe today there will be more scourge running rampant and it will worth playing.
I tried multiple times to get infected and couldn’t. Definitely unplayable!
You didn’t play when the pre patch for wrath of the lich king brought the first zombie invasion,. that was epic. People ended up doing zombie raids to attack the cities!! I had so much fun, or maybe it’s that I was 14 years younger xD

Still trying to see how the game is unplayable. I was on a level 25 alt when I noticed the zombies invading.
I died a total of twice, and one time because I tried to take one on.
I called it a night at level 35 and those were my only 2 instances with zombies…i feel like you’re 7 and over exaggerating how bad it is, like the time you lost your yellow crayon and thought the word was ending.

The game is not unplayable. Got around with ease yesterday. When I wanted to engage zombies I did and when I didn’t, I didn’t.
