I completed the Zandalar Campaign up to the Achievement, ‘Welcome to Zandalar’, flew back to Tirisfal Glades, and Zidormi was there. Waiting for the Faeries now!
The easy fix to this:
- grab the Intro quest for BFA by the bulletin board from the guard
- Do the quest to board Jaina’s ship (if you already did this expansion once it gives you the option to skip this, skip it)
- Continue the quests until you open the portals, examine the map, and complete the quest line up to the achievment “COME SAIL AWAY” after that Zidomi will show up in tirisfal for you.
Still true in 2023-toon cant do the UC/Brill Hallow’s End content nor go to UC. Zidormi should ALWAYS be there independent of quests done/not done. Its her job!
Have the same issue with Brewfest outside Org-can’t do the Ram riding as it phases even for low level toons. So tired of “phasing” issues in this game preventing quests/activities, etc. Seems a Zidormi would fix a lot of it (if they would make her not part of the problem!)
Can confirm the following as of 27.10.2023:
On my Level 70 Horde Dracythr who hasn’t done BFA content.
During the All Hallow’s Eve event, I took the portal from Orgrimmar to Undercity. Spawned inside the Magic Quarter. Went outside to Tirisfal Glades, Zidormi was not there.
I then did the Mission Introductory Quests for BFA until I obtained the achievement “Welcome to Zandalar”. I then went back to Orgrimmar to take the portal to Undercity.
This time I was in the BFA plagued Tirisfal Glades.
So for anyone Horde/Alliance who cannot see Zidormi in Tirisfal - do the introductory quests until you have unlocked the Achievement ‘Welcome to Zuldazar’ (if you’re playing Horde) or ‘Come Sail Away’ (if you’re playing Alliance).
Hope this helps
How is this still a thing in 2024!

Have a fresh earthen with the reverse problem: I’m stuck in the BFA version, and can’t interact with Hallow’s End events!
Took the portal in Orgrimmar to Undercity, spawned into the plagued Magic Quarter and almost instantly died. Revived in Brill, went to where Zidormi should be to turn it to Cata version, and she’s not there. And like some others have said, if I click to EK continent map and click back into Tirisfall map, I’m shown the Cata map with no player icon.
Coming from the Plaguelands, this is as close as I can get to her before it swaps back to BFA version: https://i.imgur.com/D0IURPy.png
Have a character who
- Did all of BfA
- Played Actively through Shadowlands
Can’t see Zidormi. I do have the “Consulting our Allies” quest from the end of Shadowlands, which I did on a different horde character.
What the heck Blizz.
It’s so stupid that you have to accept the low level quest Battle for Azeroth: Mission Statement from the Warchief’s Herald next to the Mission Board and have to run/skip through the BfA intro scenario and then once you arrive in Zulduzar and go to the Seal (if you had previously set it up) then you’re able to go to Tirisfal and Zidormi will be there.
Even better that if you take the port from Org afterward, you just get dumped in the poison filled magic quarter and die, lol.
Zidormi should just always be in Tirisfal regardless of what you may (or not) have done in BfA and both surprised, and not surprised that it’s been like this for ages.
After reaching level 45 or 50, I automatically started getting the ‘Return to Lordaeron’ quest. Similarly to the first Dragonflight quest, this one would just show up every time. I dismissed it since I was doing other things.
When I teleported to Undercity from Orgrimmar, I died instantly. Seems like after you hit that level trigger, the location just phases no matter what.
Ended up following through that whole quest and after getting a title for it, Zidormi finally decided to show up outside Undercity. I previously tried finding her by coming in from the Western Plaguelands but she wasn’t there.
From what I can tell, the quest was almost an epilogue of sorts to Shadowlands(?), which I haven’t done. Maybe it should be locked behind actual questline progression rather than level, considering how fast you get XP these days.
Thanks!
Evoker who’s never done BfA:
- Portal to Orgrimmar.
- Portal to Silvermoon City.
- Take the orb to Undercity.
- Appear at Zidormi’s location, no Zidormi. Lordaeron is plagued.
Priest who’s done everything since ~Wrath, except the Lordaeron scenario with the plague:
- Take Orgrimmar portal to Undercity.
- Appear inside Undercity at half health. Die before any actions can be taken.
- Release. Appear at the Brill graveyard. Auto-rez 3 seconds later.
- Fly to Zidormi’s location, which is not marked on the map, but Zidormi is present.
And on a random note, on an alliance rogue doing candy buckets, I was able to see Zidormi outside the bridge to Theramore, but Zidormi had zero dialog options. She did, however, offer to sell me a Theramore tabard, which I’d earned in Remix.
Clearly Zidormi needs espresso.
I was able to fix this by going to the Zuld docks and doing the BFA intro chain, as soon as you finish the quest where you set up the embassy, you can go back to Zidormi and she’ll show up.
Gotta love finding a bug report about issues with the phased dead version of UC causing issues four years ago, and finding out that this is still an issue.
Just move the event (Hallows End) NPCs to Org already or set up an Org portal that always goes to old UC.
Yup just was leveling my hunter cause of the anniversary event and been using the burning man for the exp boost hit level 50 and boom dieing the instant i am in undercity. all of hallow end event npcs are now gone and can no longer do the holiday event on this character.
Follow up on this some one mentioned doing the start of the BFA quest line and that worked. you have to talk to chromie in ogrimar and start it and do the quest line until you setup the embassy.
Yeah, this is a certain kind of special that this is still an issue.
Completing Calia’s questline starting in Oribos solved this issue for me.
After a frustrating time trying to do the BFA intro (on Horde) and finding out there’s a broken quest in that chain, I was finally able to find a video where someone said to just fly to Deathknell (the undead starter area) and back until Zidormi appears on your map.
That worked perfectly, without having to do any of the quests at all.
Going to Deathknell worked for me. Great tip.
Thank you!
