Zero hype for dragonflight

u are all so excited ut all talking about it

I used to see MoP’s cinematic on TV and thought it was always great. From a cinematic standpoint. I also did enjoy the jade forest.

People are taking the real lives around blizz as a company and people more over the game these days. Moment you here a new blizz title coming out all people see are “money grubbers” “oop another lawsuit incoming” etc etc

I’m gonna try it, and have already bought it, but I’d be lying if I said I was even remotely excited.

I’ve not been officially hyped for a wow expansion for many years so I’m putting that out there first.

I do look forward to them however and DF is no different. Whatever the over expansion turns out to be over it’s 24 month lifetime before the next one grabs the attention, it’s new zones to explore new dungeons to do new quests to take on …while this stuff does get repetitive fast at least the original time doing the content usually feels good or at least satisfying to me.

There’s too much going on my life to worry or think too deeply into a computer game anymore. Just give me distraction and relaxation from reality a few hours a week …that’s pretty much my standard for wow these days.

PS man I can’t properly express how I disdain these autocorrect crap.

and the fact that the only people that complain about a game far too loudly are streamers, youtubers and people with stay at home jobs or the unemployed on a crappy laptop in the garage.

BfA and Shadowlands knocked the hype train off the tracks for me. But there are several aspects about DF which I am looking forward to.

First is the lack of borrowed power grinds. Level up then gear and do what you want.

Talent Trees. Yes people will min max them, but I hope that the choices allow for people to play specs which may not be the min max meta, but have that less optimal, but more fun spec for them only be 2 or 3% off the meta. I want to just play around with builds and talents.

No specific end boss yet. I am happy that we arent going into DF knowing the main villain. We are just adventuring to a new land because something is up there. It feels like a WoW expansion again.

I am pessimistic that they are going to run out of time on talent trees, and leave some classes and specs in a garbage state till 10.1. I am also pessimistic that they will go back on their word and bolt on a borrowed power system at some point.

I dont think I am hyped by any means… but cautiously optimistic? Yea that works.

“You are not prepared.”

“All must serve the one true king.” / “No King Rules Forever.”

WoW is defined by its major villains.

With the, “28 day later” mini-necro I’m vexed. Do I watch the movie titled that or a NatGeo penguin documentary today?

yawn. The content is VERY fun. What? You didnt get some demand you were making? lol

now, those I could do without.
The content itself is FAR better than BFA and SL garbage and SO FAR they havent abused that Slow/Root/Stun crap to waste my game time like SLs was filled to the stinking brim with.

Or its just very ResidentSleeper, which it is.

Razageth is probably the lowest threat we’ve ever had in this game’s history aside from maybe Mists of Pandaria launch where nothing was happening other than the faction war. But because we knew the faction war would get hot due to the devs telling us Garrosh would be the final boss of the expansion, folks cared about said faction war. DF doesn’t have that at all. It’s just… zzz…

DF has a lot of potential but it’s really sad t osay that an expansion that isn’t even out yet is already at the point where we’re waiting for patch content to make it actually exciting.

Its going really well so far…but yeah, with Ions record here since WoD, Im still not preordering for fear Im going to find something hes up to thats going to make me not like where the game ended up going.
After 3 out of 4 terrible expansions, and his incessant need to double down on stupid decisions, Im finding it VERY hard to believe hes turned a 180 and recanted his evil ways, lol.
Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
But so far, so good…from my end anyway. Im sure some hardcore raiders arent going to like having to…gasp…do some side questing on their mad rush to max level lmao

I did agree with this thread… at first, but now, I’m optimistic. I’ve heard good things about the questlines and Dragonriding. At least, no matter what, it won’t be as bad as Shadowlands.

Having played both, Shadowlands is better than DF at this current time, not sorry.

I am finding Dragonflight more entertaining than Shadowlands this far to the point they have revealed in beta.

I’m looking forward to new content and to what they may have in store for us but other than that im not like excited or nothing. Been burned by them too many times and im kinda just over it. Still enjoy the game but don’t get hype for anything from them anymore.

End of expansions usually are vs x.0 patches.

I’m hyped for DF, not so much because of the content or story, but because it’s the first time in a long time, that I feel Blizzard has demonstrated a genuine willingness to listen to the player base.

Removing mythic raiding?
