I like when bosses drop badges (on top of their regular gear based loot table) you can save up to purchase the gear pieces you are missing. Then it always feels rewarding and like progress.

I liked that a lot, too. A lot of people did. It’s one reason so many people enjoy FFXIV end-game as well.

But Ion is so incredibly hell-bent on not having a currency system. It’s wild…
