Zereth Mortis flying unlock is now impossible with 10.2.5

To get flying in Zereth Mortis, it required you to kill 10 rare mobs. With the introduction of Dragonriding in this zone, rare mobs are very quickly sniped before anyone with a ground mount even has a chance of getting remotely close to it. The rare restriction needs to be lifted for obtaining flying, since it’s practically impossible to do if you didn’t do it before 10.2.5

if your guild mates are there us the taxi service that dragon flight give if it works outside dragonflight

so it turns from a get in a day achievement to a spend a few hours camping a spawn, kill it, and repeat 10 times making it weeks of constant grind instead of a quick one

They should probably just unlock it. Sitting around waiting for a rare shouldn’t be a solution to unlocking something like flying.

Just like watching paint dry shouldn’t be a solution to having fun.

No everyone should just be able to fly right away in all the previous zones. I thought Dragonflight made it clear that we just want to fly right away so why the heck old zones still have flying locked.

Annoying but not impossible. People actually made this complaint when the achieve came out and the content was current. The only “impossible” rare is Zatosi since even with zero armor and sitting down with back turned the drones cant stack the poisons (level diff. makes them miss/you resist.)

  1. call out in chat that youre headed for a mob. People will probably wait.
  2. go to war mode. Hardly anyone in ZM and fewer in WM except people botting the awful mote grind.

This is the right take

Pathfinding achievements are dumb. The most I’m willing to put up with is no flying for awhile after launch, then it should just unlock with the first major patch, nothing special needed. This goes for old content, remove pathfinder from ALL previous older content.

Flying used to be locked behind gold. I’d rather they do that again then ever do pathfinder again.

It was like that before dragonriding. I missed that whole expansion and went back to do some of it months ago. By the time I got over to the rares, they were always dead. You literally just have to sit there and camp them if you want to unlock it. I didn’t bother… Maybe one day! :woman_shrugging:t3:

No one will wait. People farming the rares for Anima are doing it on auto-pilot. They aren’t going to look at chat.

General Chat doesn’t account for opposite factions either.

This is how I had to obtain flight when Zerith Mortiss was the place to be. HandyNotes was really helpful here.

Odds are it’s gonna be removed during TWW like BFA’s during Dragonflight.
