This is a great explanation. On both leveled ? and ?? It comes down to being able to always kill the egg in time then it’s just a matter of patiently avoiding stuff knowing the boss will go down.
The problem is that around here, theories suddenly become facts and then the whole forum burns down over it before it can be corrected. So sometimes, we jump on the theories to squish them before they take on a life of their own.
Now… I can’t say one way or another which is correct, so I have no skin in this game. I just thought I’d explain why people get jumpy like that. Sorry.
Zekvir does not scale with item level at all; it scales with role and your armor type. As long as you can make the raw DPS checks (which I am told are very easy for healers post-nerf, and I definitely found them very easy as a damage dealer after my hero talent was debugged) everything else is very unforgiving, visually overwhelming, but entirely predictable mechanics.
That’s why in my original post I was asking the OP if he could provide proof to his claims. Like I said, they sound like they could be plausible as game devs and even including Blizzard themselves have done stealth changes in the past, but again without the data to back it up its all just hearsay.
Wouldn’t be shocked.
Zekvir can roll crits on you, gets a damage buff for having a pet, his interrupt mechanic still doesn’t work properly.
Terrible fight design.
lmao.
I’d like to see a different room design.
After learning the mechanics, Zekvir is absolutely doable at most iLvls - people just aren’t utilizing the right tools. I know the fight is frustrating but its a puzzle that you have to solve and a skill check that only you can pass. I thoughts it was impossible until i started problem solving and once I figured him out its really just mechanics. The only thing that will change is that it’ll take longer at a lower level.
So if we fight him naked we would kill him?
Won’t make a difference
I am not sure if they messed up and the eggs scale with ilvl maybe?
Eggs do not scale with item level.
This OP reads as though they know about ilvl scaling in the outdoor world and figured it applied to delves as well without actually looking for themselves. I mean, how hard would it be to just enter the delve at different ilvls and compare the HP values to see that they don’t change at all?
Yeah, you can check and it doesn’t scale
many streamers say that warlock is the class that easiest way to clear all delves and zek…
I did. Scroll up.
I can see that.
Yep! You’re not wrong. ![]()
Didn’t know about that one. I spent more time healing my pets than hitting him.
I…did?
You can literally see an egg with full health in the screenshot. It has 7.8M health.
This time it has 7.79M because Brann is shooting it.
But I guess opening the screenshots was a lot to ask.
You have to save your burst for the eggs. You can’t do your big damage on the boss normally - this is part of the trick of the fight - its a slow burn and doing the mechanics correctly. A lot of beating Zek’vir is not getting distracted by the wrong thing - you have know what is or isn’t a priority. For example - making sure he doesn’t self heal is a bigger priority than burning the add down - if the egg pops you can still cc the add and deal with defensives (never use your interrupt on the add). If Zek’vir self heals you’ve just extended the fight and you need to be perfect for longer.
Going in with all greys wish me luck
All delves? No, garbage for delves. Zek? Yeah, kinda. We can slow casting speed and interrupt.
my general impression is that:
- warlock is easiest for zekvir
- blood dk is easiest for delves
- ret paladin and dps warrior are very strong for both
anyway, props to OP for realizing he was incorrect when faced with proof and editing all of his posts to be accurate rather than spreading misinformation.
