Just get lucky
So I finally managed to pull it off. Few things that were required to get through it.
-The PvP trinket for when Brann either dies or doesn’t feel like dispelling the spittle.
-Healing potions for when Brann doesn’t feel like dispelling the spittle.
-Amorphis Relic Tier 4 20% movespeed from the shrink helped a ton, extra health was okay but not as useful.
-I saved empowered abilties for the egg. I would use flamebreath BEFORE the egg spawned and then Eternity on the egg itself. This allowed for two back to back mass disintegrates which made it far easier to kill. Because I wasn’t useing them on Zek this took far longer to kill him but he eventually went down.

I’d have to disagree, but I’d be lieing if I said a bit of RNG wasn’t involved (looking at you Brann…).
I got my kill around ilvl 607 as a dev evoker. Took about 30 or so attempts.
I got the pvp trinket, but even STILL, I have faced times where Brann doesn’t dispel the debuff in time and everything is on cooldown.
How should I use the trinket? Should I use it before Deep Breath or after?
I used it on the third one. First I left to Brann if he didn’t do anything well at least it was an early wipe. Once he would get the first one, I’d take care of the second with deep breath and then the third was the trinket. The fourth I would use defensive but often Brann would be well off cooldown by that point and would take care of it. After that point it was into phase 2 and for some reason in phase 2 Brann is far more reliable at taking every other spittle. I still would usually pop a defensive just to make sure but he usually would get it. From that point I saved to trinket for whenever he would die.

What is the PVP trinket you’re talking about? Zekvir (??) on evoker is driving me nuts.

OMG the fight feels SO much better with the trinket. Still progging it, but it feels way more consistent. Thanks for the tip!
Gonna have to try with that trinket. I am making some progress, 10% was my best on ?? mode. One lapse in judgement, and I screwed it up.

I did it on my lesser geared ww monk in like 3 attempts and I noticed that the melee damage was basically the same despite my evoker having double the armor and my monk was never crit from a melee attack.
It’s not a guarantee but it’s wonderful when it does proc… there is a relic for bran that will shield you for a % of your missing health. This shield completely immunes you to his spittle cast. Again it’s RnG but I’ve had it come in clutch many times.
I’ve killed Zekvir ?? On Shadow Priest and DK around 600 ilvl but I did use consumables and the mini bloodlust trinket from ringing depths

idk about dk, but shadow priest is free to the point where you can have brann as dps.
Not hard just a very long fight. My kill took me 11 minutes on shadow priest, even longer on DK
Finally got it! Thank you! The honor trinket made the fight way more consistent so I could actually prog it, and I did some grinding for the conquest version of the trinket for final push. <3

Still impossible at 618-620 ilvl, even with the PVP trinket. I can get him to about 30% HP maybe before all cooldown rotations are expended and there’s a 30 second window there where I’m just screwed.
Phase 2 is easier than phase 1 since your damage intake is significantly lower. I did this back at 600 ilvl without teching the pvp trinket. Play better.
I just ran it again at 621 ilvl and its so much easier at that ilvl. I never got critically hit so I’m wondering if they finally made it so he can’t critical you on melee and rng back to back crits to gib you in 2 seconds. I used the critical strike proc combat curio on my initial kill and this time around tried idol of the earthmother. I don’t feel like Idol of the earth mother ever procced, though. I also made some mistakes, like TTS firebreathing absolute air and getting hit by a fear orb late in phase 2. Not executing a perfect rotation either, but doing damage really isn’t priority.
It’s still a hard fight as evoker and relies on a bit of luck such as brann’s inevitable demise lining up with deep breath being ready to clear the enfeebling spit. It’s by no means impossible though, especially not with the pvp trinket as an emergency clear.
Its possible without the pvp trinket and did my kill at ilvl 610.
The main roadblock was the third spittle because your deep breath would be on cooldown. I got around that by staggering Brann’s healing potions while having obsidian scales (and renewing blaze if needed) up. He should clense with about 5 to 10 left on spittle.
