Yrel in front of Beastwatch.

In the years after the Legion’s defeat, the orcs and draenei lived together in peace. But eventually, more naaru arrived on Draenor and the draenei became fanatical.[[13]]https://wow.gamepedia.com/Yrel#cite_note-13 Decades after heroes from Azeroth left Draenor, Yrel has become the High Exarch of the [Lightbound]https://wow.gamepedia.com/Lightbound: a group of fanatical draenei and orcs devoted to spreading the Light’s influence, even forcibly, according to the will of the [Light Mother]https://wow.gamepedia.com/Light_Mother_(alternate_universe).[[14]]https://wow.gamepedia.com/Yrel#cite_note-14 She confronted Grommash, referring to him as an old friend and attempting to get him to stand down as he and the [Mag’har]https://wow.gamepedia.com/Mag’har_(alternate_universe) resist the Lightbound. If you are going to just copy-paste something from wowpedia, could you please at least remove all the links that make it an unreadable mess? Thanks.

From what i understand in beta yrel had text lines which implied rape. But where removed. She isn’t wearing much when we meet her. It is reasonable to guess the orcs probably did some raping.

Just send the wowpedia link instead of having that mess of a wall of text.

This just enforces my thought that we only get 1 pov. Time has passed. And yrel may have started off peaceful but got forced into being a radical from the pov of the orcs because the orcs spilled first blood.

Yrel seems to be getting setup as a villain because she has no other option but to take extreme actions for a greater good.

I would not be surprised if she comes out of a time rift multiple centuries older lightbound with wings and a massive army to take over our timeline. Because she literally has no choice. Its take over our timeline or be earased from existence.

Ah yeah but the original Yrel had a completely different story too. She wasn’t a paladin originally, she was an acolyte and she was Maarad’s lover who had been raped and died in the MU while Maarad had died in the AU. And she had been captured as an effort to catch some priests.

However they removed that storyline and changed Yrel to be younger, be Velen’s protegee, Paladin student instead who seems to be more Maraad from the AU himself but in the AU he’s a girl, ergo Yrel. Her clothing is actually the same as every other draenei/mag’har captive, was just to show they were slaves.

Yrel being Maraad now is also reflected in her losing her sister like Maraad did, so if there was some rape there, it probably happened to her sister same as Maraad’s.

I know and know but the frostwolves showed they didn’t need such attitude. It’s clear they were in the wrong for following Garroshspecially since they also attacked innocent races like the arakkoa and lesser orc clans. They didn’t care.

Interesting. If you really think about the darker side of wows lore that isn’t really talked about or shown directly.

Its logical to assume during all the massive wars there was raping and pillaging going on. Random bandit gangs roaming around.

Wow is at its core a dark medival fantasy world with magic.

Gameplay mechanics aside, you should read the spell descriptions on Warlocks. Warlocks are literally terrifying with all the stuff they do to people.

So are rogues. Whenever a rogue attacks you’re just - in horrendous and awful pain - until they decide you deserve to die.

With swearing censored and modern day tropes being shoved into our faces?

Totally.

Out with you, heathen. You’re not welcome here. :joy:

I would much much rather die to a rogue than a Warlock. At least with a Rogue, my soul will stay intact. No so with a Warlock.

RP and Fanfiction forums are clearly listed and have an active userbase. I know you think you’re more special but please, post over there.

Ah right - yeah drain soul is just warlocks slurping your soul like a juice box.
Also there’s soul shatter…soul burn…

Pah!

If you want real dark fantasy take a step into the Old World.

Is that a game? Or just parts of rural Massachusetts you’re referencing? :joy:

It is the rock where Warhammer Fantasy takes place.

Lots of nasty things to be found everywhere.

Yeah I’m good with Azeroth. I’m looking forward to the upcoming book about my favorite couple having a silly romp around the world. :relaxed: The genre’s called fantasy, it’s meant to be unrealistic - not all dark and gloom

Pretty much. That’s why there’s supposed to be half-orcs in lore. Orcs are very into that.

Though the r34 fandom has more than be happy to fill in those gaps.

A lot of the classes really, even the cheery monks. Touch of Karma is absolutely terrifying to think. Imagine you stab a monk and you end up stabbed instead.

Ehh the stuff we get to directly experience via gameplay is nothing compared to the actual cannon lore world of wow.

Example? Harpies and how thry canonically reproduce.
