You're In Charge of WoW

Having to commute to and from work is such a colossal waste of one’s life if one’s job can be done remotely too. actually has me convinced that upper management is full of evil people that hate the idea of someone being able to do more than just work in their life.

Retcons:

Retcon Shadowlands :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
 Maybe some various components of BFA too …

FOMO Reform:

I’d also remove certain FOMO rewards (Mounts, transmog and a few titles) – but make it so they’re still incredibly difficult to earn and are by the similar content (or harder) to achieve.

Examples:

  • Zul’Gurub Tiger & Zul’Aman Bear mounts to be earned via Timewalking ZG / ZA raid in a ‘hard-mode’ difficulty, with certain mechanics needing to be fulfilled out in a specific way, akin to Ulduar’s hardmode mechanics.
  • PvP elite mounts can be earned with a token that’s earned per double-amount of wins required to get the current season’s.
  • Mage Tower simply returned. Personally as one who completed the majority of them (across all classes) – I feel they’re still difficult enough to warrant the merit & reward for achieving the completion  Albeit I’d keep it as needing to complete on the respective class & spec to earn the appearance for such class and spec. :dracthyr_nod:

FOMO rewards will remain to some degree as unique & unobtainable for up to 2 expansions before becoming available again to the similar methods as per above.

Confronting Race + Class combinations …

And one that I know a handful of people on the forums aren’t going to like: Emphasise that all classes can NEVER be and never will be — “any and all races” :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

  • And no, Blizzard has never said that :upside_down_face: Stop misquoting for the sake of coping, lol

However I will, as Blizzard HAS said — Bring more classes to more races

Warlocks: The reclamation of power!

I’d give Demo warlocks a class-questline where they perform a ritual upon a handful of demon-hunters, to their surprise they weren’t sacrificed – yet found themselves without power → Later coming to realise what the warlocks did: Siphoned the chaotic, demonic and volatile-nether powers from them … Thus robbing the demon hunters of their gifts and giving the warlocks a “new” ability — Metamorphosis!

Add a ‘Guild-Hall’ akin to player-housing

To access the hall, you will go to the teleportation pad that’s by the guild-vendor in the city.

  • The architecture, features and decorations used in the hall will be dependent on the guild achievements earnt.

Portals will appear in the hall, depending on how far the guild has progressed in the current expansion or patch.

Give Worgen Tails

I mean, may as well – right? :joy:

Making all cities more relevant

  • Have all cities have a crest / gear upgrade NPC and the valid resources for each expansion, a portal to the main-city or location of current expansion.
  • and buff them up with more resources so they’re all as viable as one another
(eg. SW / Org wouldn’t be more ideal than say Silvermoon or the Exodar).

Additionally, for the most part I would remove sharding within cities – as this change may spread the playerbase out a tad more, thus removing the ‘problem’ that sharding was introduced for to begin with … Albeit it would still be actioned & applied only under critical population sizes, should they reach such.

Add more world-changes & rewards for completing quest content in zones

Akin to Mount Hyjal — The quest progression will change & update the world as you proceed more often.

  • Additionally, completing such may present more transmog options or new city-access upon achieving such feats (However I’d have an NPC to ‘skip’ such on alts, should you have completed on main / other characters).

Bring a more immersing experience into the game.

And finally …

I’d bring back:

  • Circle of Healing for holy priest
  • and give shaman the split-talent-option for Primordial Wave
(old version or new version) lol

Amongst considerations for a few other abilities or features upon them

Remove the ptr testing and leave it the background
Make mythic and mythic servers exclusive
Allow cloths wearers to also wear light leather
Remove seasonal content and put it back the way it was in wrath…THE WHOLE STORY OVER A 2YR PERIOD.
Revert the professions the way they were but add a little spice to them

Take out all the extra currency…no valor stones no more crest …

Add all the loot options back into the dungeons like
Recipes drops
Remove all reputation grinds and intagrate back in dungeons and raids.

Remove the cash shop remove the toys remove the pet battles.

The main game would go back to quests- dungeons - raid. 10 man 20 man…
Update all the holidays quests with different activities and themes

Remove dark moon faire- it out of sight out of mind

Basically restreamline the entire game…

Remove fomo… completely almost make a semi cozy hybrid / challenge game…but with the MMORPG functions.

Currency just silver gold and platinum…

Remove the talent tree and have again everything integrated skills and abilities…

Once you reach you vertical goal you need to now reach you horizontal goal…

No more patches… expacs only…

I think it works for the hero character. Considering everything we are capable of accomplishing in the story, it’s entirely possible we can be the exception to class/race restrictions. The established Champion of Azeroth is meant for great things, and one of those things could be mastering a skill set that no other of his race ever could. But I’d like a meaty quest line to go with it.

The commute is a great time to reflect on the past, practice staying present, or create your future. There’s something to be said for having that time to let go of home life and mentally prepare for work, or to decompress after work and leave your work worries at work where they belong.

I guess it depends on what you do for a living, but WFH would be way too much of a weird blending of home life and career life for me. I won’t even work on massage clients in my house, I just don’t want that work energy in my sanctuary.

But for a creative career, I could see it working. I’m much more creative at my desk at home than I would be in an office.

Would implement these:

  1. Weekly Vault would initially give Mythic Track Gear for completing M+10 and up. The next time they complete M+10 and up, they would be required to kill a Mythic Raid Boss too to be able to get a Mythic Track Gear from Vault. This way, players would know that Mythic Raiding is the real source of Mythic Track gear not M+. Getting a lot of Mythic Track Gear without stepping on any Mythic Raid is stupid.

  2. Housing would be Unlocked as reward after completing any 2 from these: Beating all Tier 11 Delves, get a 1000 M Rating on M+ or kill all the Bosses of Normal Raid. FYI, beating M+2s on time on all Dungeons is around 1200 M Rating. This way, players would know that this Housing is for players who play WoW’s core and not for players who only play Digital Dollhouse.

  3. Tourists who keeps on whining about the Game on Forums has to play Torghast 2 hours a day for the first 2 weeks before they could play WoW again everytime they reappear after disappearing after playing for few weeks.

I am fair. ROFL.

My first order of business is catgirls. :dracthyr_nod:

Make Pit Lords a full pet for Warlocks…

Make Mogu playable

Bring back every Mount that was made unavailable

Mythic+ and raid are completely separated. Their gear no longer works in the other content. Gear is purchased with currency, there is no longer rng in gear acquisition. Mythic+ key levels unlock over time, rather than just opening the floodgates all at once. This way, people that can’t play 20 hours a day, 7 days a week at the beginning of a season do not end up stuck playing with scrubs for the rest of the season.

Affixes completely removed.

i would make the 1st person view option for wow retail, then i would resize the objects, buildings, mobs, and environments scaling to be more sensible in relation to the characters

I appreciate it, i just want this game to go back to the fun mmo that it was

Dont know if I would have enough power but I would make friday’s afternoons a time where everyone has to play the game they’re working on.

I agree on this, people are so afraid to talk in game now

If that happened I would then remove all flying mounts from the code of the game. I would delete the source code and graphics files for them and smash any physical backups.

Lay off the women and anyone with an unnatural hair color
We’re making WoW for the boys again

First order of business:
Alexstrasza is getting her Wrath of LK outfit back

First order of business, slowly firing and replacing whoever is failing in the PR department to have company customer relations this bad… second order of business…or even maybe FIRST, hire some QA folks.

After that the issues can all take a number and wait in line as I get to them one by one.

On the cash shop, but I’d have a lot to choose from!

I would give levels 70s the ability to turn off their experience again.
