You know that’s a bug, right? I had a bunch of my auctions show 49709 days or whatever, I think those auctions were up since at least Wednesday. I finally went through today and canceled them one by one so I could repost the items.
Likewise, I’m leaving mine up so Blizzard can associate them with the bug report though. Not like they’re actually going to sell, the undercut-bots have gone to town and back since then.
I believe the region wide Auction House has been a tremendous success! I am very grateful for the liveliness of the Auction House! While not everything sells at a super-high margin anymore, there is a lot of volume and it makes using the AH even more fun!
Keep rolling in the gold everyone and have fun with it!
I would have no issues if I could actually buy certain commodities. Whenever I try, I get the message “That item is no longer available.” Until Blizzard fixes that issue, I think the new AH is a massive fail.
Yes, I have the same problem. “That item is no longer available.” I don’t care about prices, economies, etc. If you can’t buy anything, there IS no economy.
200g flasks is pog
It’s great for people that don’t have a gathering profession. I might drop gathering, but I’ll wait until DF to see how it is. Gathering seems like a complete waste of time when one covenant calling gives 1600-ish gold.
I feel like prices will just keep going down with bot farming/undercutting.
good for the game in general but poorly implemented
In between the time you initiated your search and the search results came up someone bought something from that lot of items. I found constantly clicking refresh or search again until the topmost lot changes allows you to buy something. Unless of course someone beat you to the punch again.
Been great so far, long overdue.
Sure.
Whatever you say.
I had every character post multiple sales on the day that they announced the auction house would be shut down all day.
AS far as I know every character’s auction was returned as it said it would be, but YOURS stayed up.
Ok
“just a bug”
sure.
It feels fantastic to have commodities that even at the end of an expac could sell for at least 20+ gold profit on high pop realms, now sell for 1 gold profit at best. Meaning if you want to make the same amount of gold you have to craft a bunch more. So a second account is very appealing if you want to also enjoy the game.
A second account so you can work twice as hard to make A FRACTION OF what you used to?
Yeah, that sounds enjoyable.
You know what’s even MORE ENJOYABLE?
See on AH once highly valued ore selling for 50 gold, literally 1/4 of what it used to sell for
“Oh boy, I might be able to make a small portion of what I used to. Well, it’s something… I guess”
Take multiple ports, flight paths and hop on the back of a dragon at the end of it all for an hour long (minimal) ride encircling the area that contains the ore(or any item) you are trying ‘farm’
Realize 20 other people saw that it was selling high as well
Get back to the closest AH available
Find that one runny-nosed brat posted 1074 @ 1/3 the previous price
So much fun.

Look, I happen to agree that Blizzard either didn’t realize the markets would crash as hard as they did or were expecting them to, and the cynic in me believes the latter. But sometimes a bug is just a bug. The AH is down or I’d go get a screengrab of my multiple 193 year auctions for you.
The current AH situation, aside from being down, is great for people leveling crafters, especially for older content, but is crap for anyone else, including gatherers and commodity speculators.
Unless we get some kind of buy order system to counterbalance the people racing to the bottom of the barrel, the bots and people who don’t actually care about the game’s gold economy are going to continue to undercut everything down to vendor prices.
Jumping down each other’s throats isn’t going to make that happen any faster.
The AH is the game for me. Cant agree more about them wanting the bots to do all the work.
ROFL what gold. The gold you know have to spent 4x the energy to get what you use to? No ty the bots can do that.
When it works … uh …
Mostly I just wanted to sell my Progenitor Essentia while there’s still a market.
If you haven’t lately, go try to buy some progenitor Essentia from the AH. Just put in any quantity you want. Any at all. Don’t worry if you don’t actually want to buy any, because spoiler alert, the game won’t let you.
Or, in the case of Progenitor Essentia, 1/500th of the vendor price. For some #$%^ing reason.
As I just posted in another thread, time to kill the addons. Progenitor Essentia is being manipulated big time among others
I don’t really feel like I use the Auction House enough to comment. All I ever do is sometimes sell leftover herbs/fish.
The in-game AH probably won’t let you. The mobile AH might but then you’ll pay for whichever stack it actually sells you, not the one that you selected. I tried it earlier today, it would only let me select the 1s listing but ended up selling me one for 4000g (I didn’t know how much I actually paid for it until I opened my mail).
I think I’m done experimenting with progenitor essentias on both buying and selling end
It’s obviously broke as he**.
