Your Profession - What would you do over?

I wouldn’t have engaged with it at all. It’s pointless do to my server’s size. Maybe double gathering? Maybe.

I would refund every point put into resourcefulness and inspiration so I could put them into going deeper into straight +skill and unlocking more stuff to craft.

When I put points into inspiration, I thought “10% of inspiration gets added to skill” meant that I got an extra +1 skill per 10 inspiration but when I got that node, I found out the 10% only applies to inspiration procs. I wouldn’t have put a point in there until I had unlocked everything else first if it had been more clearly explained.

This is essentially where I’m at with professions across the board on all my alts now. Not bothering at all. Let the goblins who want to sit in Trade chat all day, and who exploited Consortium rep without consequence, and who luckily picked the correct specs and “the right server” years ago have it. I’m done. Blizz completely messed things up and likely won’t be able fix it short of just throwing it out, so we’re going to be stuck with this garbage for years to come because some design geniuses thought that this system was an improvement instead of a complete disaster.

It’s irritated me so much that I’ve basically stopped interacting with Dragonflight content, period. I’ve gone back to playing old content, hunting for rare mounts, and doing other things I enjoy doing much earlier than I thought I would, but here I am.

Congrats Blizz, you’ve made me not want to play your latest expansion because of this nonsense. Was that part of the grand master plan?

At first I was very bummed when I realized I started all the “non main” trees first for my professions ( Insight of the blue, rods runes & ruses, and NOT enchantment /// Tailoring Mastery, Textiles, Draconic Needlework & NOT Garmentcrafting)

BUT I looked at the nodes for awhile and made a way to not only make it work, but give me an advantage over everyone who decided to go down the main trees!

Now the ONLY thing I really still regret is putting 30 points into Cloth Collection xD

I likely would not have specced into staves with inscription. Too few people looking for them atm, has been a pain trying to level it.

I’m happy with JC and going necklaces and now rings.

Wish I abused dirt piles and profession swapping before they where nerfed though.

I think I would have just not bothered leveling BS or JC at all and just went mining and skinning from the get-go. There are plenty of people crafting to get whatever I would need from work orders, but I could have made so much more money instead of sinking it into something that’s really just a waste of time

so i got enough KP to finish Poignant Plans of the Hammer Control tree and from that i can tell its easier to craft stuff at a higher level.

so yeah i should have gone into Hammer Control first then Poignant Plans

gonna need them kp points

does that guy selling one time 10 bonuses give the apparat amount of mettle as well

JC was actually amazing! Idk how it was on your server but I was selling the PVP necklace and rings for 4k a pop for weeks before getting the Elemental Lariat design. They sold like crazy too.

I made like 7+ mill just from inscription and JC BoE items off the AH the first few weeks.

On Area 52 the market was always way too saturated with everything. I was originally grinding out for the necklaces and rings but I just dont have enough free time to compete with some of the no lifers

This tbh new crafting sucks

I wouldn’t have stuck with Engineering, it’s 99% useless. Also Blizzard, let people do a one time Knowledge reset within their current profession.

I would have sat in trade chat all day for the first couple of days on every toon spamming crafts for skill ups/first time craft bonuses. Now I’m stuck with a lot of rank 3 quality items that no one wants even if I provide the mats and don’t make them pay.

Well in hindsight, since there seems to be no consequences, I would have exploited like the high end crafters to rank up rep and get max knowledge early, then have a complete strangle hold on the market since other crafters can’t rank up because nobody wants anything other than Rank 5.

I’m not bitter, you’re bitter.

This is what is most disheartening for me. I did some basic research and planning based on what YouTube beta testers were reporting, and still lost a major chunk of my gold, while the few who were aware of the loopholes made huge profits. I’m so dissapointed.
