I catch a fish and sell it. Then I use the money to buy a sign. I paint a big blue ! on one side and a big blue ? on the other. When adventurers approach I tell them I have a quest! Bring me a gold bar and I’ll give them some silver. I prey upon completionists who never read quest text and soon I have a huge pile of gold bars. I become rich with my gold bars as I continue to buy them for a few silver apiece.
