Your change has displaced a portion of your community, perhaps we can address?

I have a lot of empathy for strangers - hence why I’m defending those who partake in activities I don’t - but I don’t really care if someone wants to be rather unpleasant. I still care about you as a person. I guess that’s the difference, empathy vs. apathy.

It’s absolutely my opinion. It’s not however untrue, as factually they are better.

I’m not sure there’s anything more to discuss on this matter, this has reached old horse levels.

The change is here to stay, and a lot of us actually like it.

Better is not objective. It’s a judgement call based on what one values. I value when hard things are accomplished. You value spending large amounts of time doing easy things.

There’s plenty to discuss. Mostly, they need to put infrastructure in game to track instance IDs you’ve entered and the reset values. The change is likely here to stay, but that doesn’t mean Blizzard can’t improve the UI.

I value skill, and I value effort.

I don’t think all of that is necessary, I do fine with just pen and paper. There’s probably add-ons for what your request. I think a UI change would be very weird and jarring. I personally would never use an add-on like that, I prefer the classic ui with MINIMAL add-ons and modifications.

Pressing o and going to Raid/Raid Info isn’t a lot of effort to implement, nor is it particularly invasive. Or they could make a new button for Instance Lockout.

As I’ve pointed out there is no skill involved in a level 60 doing Gnomer. You don’t value skill. You value large amounts of time spent doing something that requires no skill.

I just don’t want to log on with a bazillion flashing buttons like on retail wow, it is very overwhelming for me to see all that jazz

One can argue for the effort aspect while not specifically talking about the skill aspect. Classic isn’t hard enough to require a high skill level.

There’s no reason to actually make it that obvious.

There’s a massive difference in going out and getting shards vs running to a boss 30 times a day to farm that stupid MCP.

Thank god that’s the case. I can farm shards mid-raid too, thankfully.

I’ll praise and encourage a 6 year old for the effort but when you grow up the world expects more from you. Even your mommy expects more than just effort when you’re not a baby anymore.

That’s a completely wrong statement. Ask any employer if they’re fine with you not putting any effort in. The only people who can succeed without effort in real life are the ones given everything on a silver platter.

Reading comprehension problem? I didn’t say it was fine to not put in any effort. I said the world expects more from grown ups.

Other than the security to farm when you want too. If I wanted daily lockouts I’d return to retail.

You put down players who wish to sink time into their characters but you have no problem spending 31 posts in this thread.

At some point we’ll have to stop farming MCP’s and just grab one of the few and far between Feral Attack Power weapons that exist in classic. Currently, the only one is a low drop chance from 4 of the world bosses. There’s another one in AQ.

What Blizzard really should do (and shame on you for being #nochanges, its ignorant and actually ended up being harmful to the game) is just fix how weapons work for druids. Ferals got a lot more weapon options in BC, and they fixed it entirely in WOTLK. No reason why they shouldn’t do it now. I mean druids are already the least played class in all of Classic, and most of those druids are resto. Giving all maces/staves FAP would at least make us semi-viable in both PvE and PvP.

Everything being equal, buffs, consumables, gear, raid composition and one group “averages”, to get rid of randomness, faster kills, then yes that group has “better” players.

One group taking a ton of time to get world buffs, farm consumables, etc. just means they’ve sunk more time into the game. Hey, here is a thought, if you compare a group that does zero farming but kills a boss in 20 minutes to a group that does 40 mintues of farming and kills a boss in 15 minutes. Is the 20 minute group better players? I mean they have less sunk time invested in the boss kill

I’m honored you took the time to not only read all my posts in this thread but also took the time to count them. But your count is way off. Not really surprising though since so many people here have been complaining that they can’t even count to 30 and need blizzard or some add on to do it for them. Math is hard for some people
