Your Billionaire Self Buys Blizzard To Do Whatever You Want With WoW

if i bought a company, i’d probably set no release dates, give them enough money, and encourage them too make fun game-play, while also telling them not to change too much of the lore.

First two things: 2 new races 1) Saberon for the Horde (always loved somebody’s idea once of having the alliance and horde being able to then fight like cats and dogs!) the dogs being the Worgen.

Finally, playable Murlocs. Been wanting to play one since I started WoW.

Also no more time-gated flying! Period. Those who want to fly will be able to fly, and those who don’t dont have to. Need a toggle option to turn it on or off as wanted. Like Warmode is.

That way those who want it get it, those who dont, dont. Still pretty sure it wouldn’t solve the problem of the chasm between the pro and con people, but I’d still do it anyway!

(General Note, this is a list of most things I would do based on what I can think of now, listed in no specific order. If anything in this list take precedence, it would be the Class overhauls and deleting Demon Hunters to make way for a Tinker class.)

  • Retcon every Expansion starting from Cata.
  • Immediately begin work on an Emerald Dream expansion that has the Twilight Cult as the main forefront villain (explain the Retcon with the Crimson Nightmare, blame it on Twilight Council [those who know, know])
-Overhaul every Class and every spec immediately, no exceptions.
-Delete Demon Hunters. Replace with Tinker.
-Rename “Monk” to “Brewmaster”, Monk becomes a melee spec with no statue mechanics and a more clear focus on fists and chi.
-Warlocks get MoP playstyle. Unholy DK’s get Diseases/Strikes/Minions focus back and the Necroplague playstyle.
-NO RENTAL GEAR. GETS DELETED FROM THE GAME. NO MORE AZERITE BS. NO MORE ARTIFACT BS.
-Glyph system from Wrath comes back. add two more tiers of rings, along with the recipes for Inscription.
-Overhaul profession system. First three tiers of every expansion henceforth will feature patterned gear as BiS. Not every slot.
-Keep the normalized hit and expertise system. Because I am a functioning human being with a fully working well reasoned mind, I have the logic necessary to re-implement the reforge system. I re-implement the reforge system.
    -Talent system complete overhaul.
-Tell Activision to **** off, no time schedules. We release content and expansions based on testing and completion, not some board of directors who have never played video games sitting in an ivory tower so detached from reality and the community that not even their own sense of ego could compare to the vast chasm of emptiness that distance creates.
-Delete the store. No tokens, no mounts. Consider a sub menu in the help screen for renewing subscription time. Also, no insta cap buying options for toons.
-Expand on Legendary system from Legion. Instead of RNG drops, each Legendary will be obtainable from quests.
-Throw the Titanforging and Warforging system into the fires of the 6th layer of Hell, let them burn there for an eternity, into such a malformed pile of ashes that not even the Doomslayer himself would be able to use his rage to put it back together.

Delete factions. Allow players to choose their characters’ sides in old and new content - sort of like Aldor/Scryers, writ large.

Return the game’s story to its roots: finding dragons, going into their lairs, killing them, and taking all their stuff. Add more exploratory mechanics beyond “wander around because the world is pretty” and encourage players to go places and find neat things they otherwise might not. Add more dragons to loot. And better loot, with more spikes.

Stop with the world-ending crises every year or two, and dedicate some time to a) expanding, exploring, and rebuilding old zones, and b) intrigue between nations at that time. Make it something where a slightly deranged dragon-murdering itinerant is an asset! Let us solve practical problems for the faction(s) of our choice… for pay, naturally.

Open up equipment and transmog options. Allow characters to equip any item regardless of class, but only benefit from the ones they traditionally used. (So your mage could wander around in plate for RP purposes or to look cool, but wouldn’t get stats from it.) Change legacy looting so that transmog farming is less annoying.

Modifying sharding and phasing to give the player more direct control over it. Allow us to choose which quest phase (perhaps out of those we’ve unlocked by following quests) to enter, and likewise which shard to be in. If needed, there could be a cast time (similar to the hearthstone’s) to avoid it being a general-purpose escape. Add the Bronze Dragons to this UI and add them to more modified zones, perhaps with the goal of eventually having pre-Cata zones along with other major changes such as in Pandaria.

Rework professions so that they’re about more than just farming mats and patterns and pushing buttons. Add more minigame-style gameplay to them, unique to each profession.

Tie future versions of the mission table into regular gameplay more strongly. For instance, world quests or dungeons might reward special troops, unique equipment, or rare missions. Missions might reward quests in the world or dungeons, increase the rewards of quests/events we already have, or offer unique buffs. Move from random results of missions to random costs - the “victory” percentage isn’t about what they’ll get you, which you know, but about the odds of your troops and followers coming back, and in what condition.

Customizable (maybe decoratable?) garrison buildings, including the per-zone “fort” buildings throughout Draenor, and more of them in more zones.

More elf bikinis. Can’t stress that enough.

That’s everything that comes to mind, anyway. I’m sure there’s more things I’d do if I ran the zoo.

You imagine being a billionaire and still concerning yourself with this game? Rofl

Remove LFR, cross realm anything outside of pvp, remove sharding, add back attunments, raids all have one difficulty, remove catchup mechanics

close the doors and say enjoy classic for a couple years until wow2 arrives.

Oh, I forgot something vitally important: flying in Quel’thalas and the Azuremyst Isles. Can’t believe that one slipped my mind.

Fun fact, the president of Nintendo who was in charge when Nintendo rose to success never once played any of his games. It was all business for him. People like that have no time for games nor concern for it. Their goals are firmly elsewhere.

Make two of them a Maid Succubus and a Bunny Succubus and I will be happy.

  1. Consolidate Servers.
  2. Reconfigure CRZ so it is more controllable.
  3. Reinstitute the Relic Slot. This would hold class specific accessories that can boost your character’s abilities. Quivers, Holy Books, Totems, Fetishes, Skull of your enemy, etc…
  4. Nurture each class so it has progression and unique abilities without an arbitrary number of abilities to fulfill this.
  5. Revert many of the GCD changes.
  6. Allow Flight in the .1 patch via Patchfinder. In the .2 patch via gold.
  7. Consolidate Raid Tiers by combining Normal and LFR.
  8. Bring Back Tier Sets.
  9. Add 1-handed Spears.

Probably more…

Why would I waste money on Blizzard when I could be developing AI hover bikes or something cool.

Makes me wonder if blizzard is actually one huge passion project.

I’m not sure that is possible. I mean… the guy is pretty ticked off.

He’s like the ultimate warrior. Freaking love Doomguy / the Doomslayer.

  1. Each zone would adjust 1 - 120.

  2. All group content would have a solo or in game companions options.

  3. Less linear gameplay.

  4. Limit forum posts to 2 per day per poster.

  5. Disallow all addons.

  6. The best in game gear could be provided by crafters or through game play.

  7. More tank and spank group content, no gimmick mechanics.

  8. No factions.

  9. I’d raise the pay of all employees by 10%.

Take the raid system back to early wrath you have normal and heroic

revamp mythic plus to heroic plus and just keep adding new lvls with each tier yeah no more rescaling dungeons

Implement a raider .io like system into the base interface at least something that shows what you have done and highest on the account. Theres also no hiding it.

Make a chat channel for selling runs of what ever for gold strictly enforce that this is the channel you advertise in

badge system as a catch up mechanic but wont fill all gear slots

creation of more 1 or 2 boss raids created for the casual audience to give out some more gear (think Onyxia in wrath and OS)

Revamp of the WQ system doing the emmisary daily gives you the badges to get gear and create more reps to feed said WQ with cool rewards

add a 4th spec mainly so I can have late wrath demo and modern demo lol

probably merge realms

renane azurite and make the bonus’s more balanced and make the bonus more catered to the content you get it from. PvP will give bonuses for pvp you want blah blah blah

revamp the world to a post cata world. BFA was the perfect time but ya know missed opportunity

bring back so RPG elements like keys to unlock doors, items required for some of the spells.

take about 3 zeros off everyones gold deflating the economy that never really needed to be inflated this much to begin with

World scaling like ESO I know a lot of people hate scaling but it would be great especially if WQ went thru out azeroth

more epic quest lines at lvl cap that take you on an adventure for epic rewards

Edit: oh and end the portal thing and make everone ride zeppelins and boats again

Azeroth is saved from the old gods by us and a crystallized bronze dragon calls for the same service in AU Azeroth. It’s struggling to be overtaken by Old Gods. The native defense is barely managing. It’s mostly Orcs, dwarves, and Trolls that are surviving. A general of the united old gods wipes out half of the exhausted army in one blow, but we arrive as one giant fist like it’s a premade AV and save the day. The surviving natives take us to a cave where their leader is recovering, along the way they give us basic details like how they call themselves the Twilight Resistance. And the leader of the twilight resistance is none other than Garrosh Hellscream! Except he never turned into an old god puppet and went on a draenei genocide. He was leader of all of AU Azeroth and times were good until the Old Gods united and all rose up together

That’s what I would do for some expac if I lead WoW. Just find some way to bring Garrosh back and make him great again

Given this is a WoW forum, this will be WoW-Centric, but it should apply to other IP.
~Make all Forums Read by CMs, Developers, and Mods. No more of the Peer Only policy that has failed us for years. If they do it with WoW, they do it with other Forums.
~Let those who main the Spec they are improving have more input into the Spec design. To paraphrase one Developer, We play the Spec, they don’t.
~Stop ignoring Hunters. We should have never needed the Let’s Talk thread in Legion, but sure as all get out need it now. In case you are wondering, Blizzard ignored a massively reported bug in Legion’s Alpha and keep the blinders on until 7.0 went live, and a guy who mains a warlock with a youtube following finally got their attenion to it. Not kidding. If there are other classes Blizzard is ignoring, end that too.
~PvP Vendors, make it a thing again.
~Stop tearing down things to prop up their opposite. There was no reason to retcon the Naruu and the Light just because you want to give the Alliance Void based characters. That is just horrible writing and a trend that leads to failure in other media.
~Stop rehashing expansions. WoD was BC, BfA is MoP. The parallels are to close.
~I would make sure that the release of the expansion is a full release, not finish it’s development up a patch later. Content should be what is given later on, not what should have been released.
~Make sure that the quality is there, even on the parts the Developers do not want to work on.
~End bad Class Mechanics.
~Players are Customers and should be listened to, not lectured.
~Make sure that the games are fun, the story is engaging, and there is nothing political inside it.

ya like cata was the same as classic I mean it took place in azeroth
