The overwhelming amount of add on usage is this. People pretend that add ons are mostly there to “play the game for you”. When its really QoL and UI customization.
Nah man. My last 3 or so have been great.

Don’t worry, you are muted Alston and I don’t have to read your drivel any longer.
I also know you live in fear of having to rely on yourself to play the game and not have WAs and addons play for you.
See! Thats how it works. If you dont want to do something, you shouldn’t. You shouldn’t force everyone else to participate the same way you do.
Isn’t choice great!
Just like add ons.
The “macrotext” attribute, assuming these changes go live, is what would be removed. Quick example:
button:SetAttribute("type", "macro")
button:SetAttribute("macrotext", "/cast theSpell") -- w/e the spell is
My understanding however, is that said change would not affect, let’s say this:
button:SetAttribute("type", "spell")
button:SetAttribute("spell", theSpell)
Suffice to say, I don’t see these changes going live as they are, because they don’t make a whole lot of sense in the grand scheme of things.
I only use damage meters and raid io.
Yeah, searching that sea of buffs/debuffs is a nightmare sometimes, but it’s also part of the challenge if you ask me. Not that I’d complain if they’d make it a little more convenient/manageable.
#DeleteAllYourAddons
They should ban them, honestly. Introduce a little challenge back into the game, but what does my boomer a*s know?
