You literally play on one of the most balanced servers, Grobbulus. As do I. You are seriously saying you took a month off because of how P2 effected you?
I mean, you do not have to go far to find someone on our balanced realm, “shellshocked” enough to take a month off. To wit: right above your quote.
So now we have players who do not even play on PVP realms complaining about it, as well as those who are on balanced realms complaining about it.
Obviously, duh. Since you missed my edit, I’ll post here too.
Assume that you’re right about 300-400 players doing a premade. That’s just 10-15 AV games that are getting Premades, out of like what, 150 AV games available? And out of Thousands of ppl playing? Yeah… still a relatively low number. Really, math is hard?
This confuses me. The wrong side is salty and the side that is getting screwed doesn’t even seem to realise it.
As horde sure it kinda sucks getting beaten in a BG by a 40 man premade when you have waited 30-40 minutes but really, its only the one guild premade BoK that Horde doesn’t win against.
In my experience we usually beat every other alliance premade in a slower game as its hardened our resolve to make those games “worth the wait” so I guess that hurts every other Alliance player except those in BoK.
We have a Strat now for BoK where we focus the NPCs and tbh, we usually finish the game with only 1-200 honor less than them.
But the real issue here is BoK are actually hurting the other alliance players, unless you are in that guild, you are never never NEVER getting a decent rank, its simply impossible. It superficial hurts Horde in that we lose quickly 1 in every 5-10 AV but we still gain ranks and its actually better HPH in those quick games but you alliance players are getting screwed by your own faction long term.
I honestly wonder how long it will take the average ally player to realise this and start complaining…I guess after a few months of being stuck at rank 3?
There’s usually a high number of AVs to select from on our end. Just a guess, like yours. Even at around 100 games, there’s still thousands of players q’ing. Still a relatively small number.
Again, just because someone is on a PVP server that doesn’t mean they PVP in the same way as others. You can have a balanced population and still have unbalanced world PVP.
Yeah, maybe some of those players should have rolled on PVE servers but that would just make the PVP situation worse on PVP servers.
The faction split is the real issue. It artificially separates different groups with different goals and creates imbalances. Honestly, although it’s disliked the war mode setting from Retail is a decent solution. It could just use some tune-up in implementation. Barring that, I’d say they should remove factions in BG to get rid of the queue issue.
Not sure who you’re referring to. I q solo for everything. Rank 7 without an issue and only started caring about the ranking 3 weeks ago.
With that said, I don’t care one way or another if Blizzard wants to address premades. Just not sure who you’re referring to that would get stuck at a low rank, if they’re actually putting in the effort.
Here’s the thing though, on Grobby there was no unbalanced wpvp. Both sides were routinely kicking the snot out of each other, both were camping FPs, both were running rolling death blobs, both were camping the entirety of SG/BRM with multiple raids. You could not have asked for a more balanced experience, yet we have players like “Hurtmode” above who willingly joined the PVP server described above, and then took a month off because they found WPVP distasteful, and is now pushing back against the proposals of a level AV playing field.
They need only allow group queue for AV, either 5-man party or full blown raid queuing. If one is knowingly signing up for PVP content, they should be willing to do so, and numbers-wise individual BGs are dead even balance wise.
Of course it’s probably not fair for most encounters. However, differences in amount of participants can make it even more unfair for one side - even on a balanced server.
Personally, I don’t cry about getting beaten in unbalanced PVP battles but the system should still be designed to tend battles toward being more even. This is a game, people play it for fun, if one side becomes much less fun then people will tend to leave it. That spirals into even larger imbalances.
You can see this over the lifetime of Retail, the imbalances are quite large in places.
You can’t force anyone to do anything. Push enough and they’ll just leave. You have to reward them for certain behavior and lower barriers to entry. Of course, that can go too far too and would mean a lot of changes - something many are vehemently against.
This is something that you knew would happen when you chose the faction with baby racials, maybe if you had not acted as you did during P2 this would not have affected you so much. This is a lesson that you should learn because you and only you looked for it.
