It’s just crazy to me, I don’t even essence swap sometimes for 11-14 carries cuz it’s a fairly minor difference compared to mechanically proper play, yet you get people saying they only want to play alts complaining about things they will literally not even use at the level they’re choosing to play at.
It’s just whining to whine, and from people who don’t even enjoy the game. Boggles my mind.
That’s why a careful murder hobo follows the sage advice of one Jayne Cobb:
“I’ll kill a man in a fair fight, or if I think he’s gonna start a fair fight… If he bothers me, or if there’s a woman… Or if I’m gettin’ paid. Mostly only when I’m gettin’ paid.”
Oh they’ll come in saying they’re only whining because they care and want to see the game change.
Reality is, they are unhappy.
If something makes you unhappy, remove the source of your unhappiness.
Simple logic.
For example, MM, WW, Frost Mage and sub/sin rogues for just a few. No one will take them in a raid right now because they totally suck and are way behind the curve. This happens every patch and multiple times an expansion, you just have to guess what will be good and hope it works out.
No one believes that any spec is viable and useful. No one. Hell, half the talents in your tree are pretty useless, almost no one would advocate any option is good. There are ones for raids and M+, and you get your very own tree for pvp. You always go for the best dps/heals/tank ones, and that is it. Some have been untouched for years and no one takes them because they still suck.
Finding one person that can parse well with a useless spec does not equal the spec is good, that person might just be great with a sucky spec.
Sin rogues are extremely strong, several of the WF groups had 1-2 of them on their kills. WW are perfectly viable, in fact we run 1 sometimes (6/12M), and MW are viable but not preferred but if you go to WCL you’ll see quite a few with mythic raid kills.
1 or 2 specs while their other specs for DPS classes(for example fire/sin+outlaw) being not as strong doesn’t mean “crippled”.
Not as strong as their 1 better spec would make sense, crippled is just being dramatic.
You’re right, it was totally pointless to upgrade your artifact since we threw them away in BfA. I wish I had known that in legion so that I could’ve told my RL to go pack sand since these rental weapons won’t matter in a year.
I agree in large part. Does not stop the new style of power grinding invented in Legion and is massive in BFA. Talents are just one problem with design, there is really no choice. Sims tell you want is best and logs fill in the real life options, too bad there is not a way in game to tell you what is a good talent and what just sucks. You must use 3rd party sites.
Those old trees were complicated at times, but every level felt important.
Or the illusion of CHOICE, since the developers altered the trees in that the strongest abilities were at the top in order to dissipate hybrid builds because they couldn’t be balanced against the straightforward trees.
Old trees were a lie. They were as cookie cutter back then as it is now, only this time people are willingly bending over because Icy Veins or some other website told them to.
There was a meta for top level play even then, it’s such reaching that I can’t believe I always read this.
None of you are high end mythic players complaining in here, yet complain about 1 out of 3 specs not performing at a very high end (which you don’t play at), and pretend if you were to somehow be at that level with that spec that you could just run any old talents and it would’ve worked out.
Newsflash, all games at high levels have a set talent makeup/rotation/build etc. That’s just how it works when people are pushing content and finding their fun in that content.
If you aren’t playing that content, it is irrelevant to you and just complaining to complain.
It’s just really infuriating that players’ nostalgia is incredibly selective.
Players complained about wasting talent points on passive buffs that simply increased power. They complained that abilities were too spread out in other threes and that they suffered for it.
So Blizzard cut it all out and shock of shocks, they’re still unhappy.
I ran a 3 tree DK that killed everything. It didn’t matter to me if it was efficient, or even RAID WORTHY, because screw raids, nothing but a mass of unorganized dumb people these days, who can’t even follow simple LEFT / RIGHT commands. I ran those stupid toons because THEY WERE FUN and CHALLENGING. Today you get a cookie cutter build, she gets a cookie cutter build…when did WoW become a bad episode of Oprah? There is absolutely NO CHOICE now, nothing to make you feel special or unique. Everyone is exactly the same now and it all sucks. Even in the extremely long break I took the toxicity hasn’t gone away, people who have vendors on your mounts, STAND STILL so I can sell my junk. It’s not funny and if I knew any of you for real, that IN-GAME behavior would earn many black eyes.
Same thing goes to those people who won’t ANSWER QUESTIONS. Stop telling us to go to wowhead, or to search google. We’re in the same world together, share that knowledge and get the dungeons done. The biggest problem with this game, are other PLAYERS, people who for some reason can’t just be nice. You will have a rough awakening one day in your real lives, we all wake up to reality some day, and sometimes it’s painful.
Account wide stuff used to be fun to work towards. Now I can’t seem to find heirlooms anywhere, not even in Wintergrasp - which is always held by the horde for some reason and it’s now a level 120 zone? WTF blizzard? Does that mean you also ruined VOA? Maybe some players can already see it, maybe not, this game is on LIFE SUPPORT. I can count every player I encounter daily, and it doesn’t even come close to 50.
