I got my 4 piece today I’ve had double 291 leggo
Now that I have both the game is much much much better. I don’t feel like you should have to earn this. I am having way more fun. Fun should be universal and I am not deciding to quit wow because oh it’s boring now.
All the people calling people complaining about not getting tier yet people “who want it right away” is a toxic sentiment.
Yes we wanted it and should have got it right away to play the game as it is meant to be played.
4 piece purgatory is an unnecessary hoop to get to the fun. It took over a month since 9.2 to actually enjoy the patch to its fullest and I am aware I am one of the lucky ones.
Blizzard is making people have a worse gaming experience because they wanted to time gate the catalyst for zero reason.

well you see…the game has diablo inspired mechanics. But didn’t carry over what makes diablo 3, well, work.
It will give pieces to a set. The best ones don’t come easy. and the ring of grandeur exists. You cube this. run it as a power. now you can be short pieces…full bonus.
and now…you farm. lesser sets will at least get you torment 4/5 passable. farm want you want…and now you crank up the torment.
wow…even with full loot to me I can’t even get 1 bracers from trial’s last boss in wrath. A BIS in wrath iirc. Now? Just a mog. not even a good ilevel to work ilevel mechanics in mage tower.

Hiding better gameplay behind grindy RNG is dishonest, lazy and insecure.
This is how my class should play regardless of gear.

Better gameplay =/= having gear handed to me.
This is an MMORPG. Find another game if you want to start at end game and be handed everything.

But your mentality is the reason subs will continue to drop because people aren’t allowed to reach the “fun” too quickly

The tier set is fun and makes my class feel better! Also 2 legendaries is a good idea but I wish one didn’t have to be the covenant legendary.

It’s the same 
different smell since Legion.
You need Artifact Weapon, Azerite gear, Tier, Covenant, Legendary, etc… to complete the class.
They purposefully build incomplete classes so we feel compelled to grind back to where they should be.
But then they put it behind RNG and wait until the very last bit of each patch or expansion to fix things.

If my class played how it did now at the start of shadowlands I would have absolutely loved it.
It has to be intentional that you only get to play half a class until you grind it out.

since vanilla , since before computer versions. RPGs have always been about effort to build your character.
So sick of people trying to make teh genre something it is not meant to be .
RPGs are not instance gratification games , they are games you put a lot of effort into developing your charatcers .

The genre can evolve and making the game more fun doesn’t kill the genre.
You can’t “genre” your way out of the fact your class feels incomplete until you hit these artificially gated milestones

Your class plays the way it is suposed to untill you get your gear . Milestones are not milestone if they are thrown at you . I dont have any tier yet , and double legendaries certainly hasnt made it feel any different.
You said you have 4 piece already --wow thats an achievement by itself , well done , If after six months or so i dont have 4 piece then I may be a little worried .

It doesn’t really feel good to know this could have just been hotfixed in or something. I thought my experience had a few holes in it but I thought it was just bad class balance which wow has had forever.
I shouldn’t have given blizzard the benefit of the doubt.
It is now crystal clear to me that the class is intentionally made less fun (incomplete) in order to facilitate these systems.

my GM said not to prioritize tier in the vault because everyone will get it eventually. /shrug
See ive only just got my 2 set, on my monk but it does something monks have been asking to have done for years. Buff the damage of fist of fury. Feels like my 2 set doesnt exist and instead the skill is just where it should be, considering the 2set gives a 40% bonus damage to move and this puts into a position where using my thousand fist punch doesnt actually lower my dps. kinda feels like they should have given it to us.
