This is actually Cataclysm classic just without the new talents and lvl 85
Since there was no 3.4 WOTLK
I simply started playing WOTLK classic and realized this isn’t right.

This is one of those things, where I swear to god people think they do, but they don’t. Starting on busted patches is complicated, moronic and broken. Remember that patches were not only balance changes, but more importantly bug fixes. Like i’m talking entire talents just not working. It’s not feasible…
There is nothing Classic about this WotLK. Its like you took the new crap from Retail and stopped at wotlk. Blizz just gave back the talent trees. Not to mention there is still alot of bots.
The time to argue for proper patch progression was when classic launched 3 years ago.
But I vividly recall every single tbc/wotlk bro saying the same thing “WHO CARES WHAT PATCH IT’S ON, LOL VANILLA IS EZ GAME ANYWAY, IT DOESN’T MATTER”.
You only have yourself to blame, you are the ones who set this precedent when you collectively said “I don’t care” back in vanilla classic, and flamed anyone who dared bring up the subject.
You don’t get special treatment just because we are now playing your favorite version of the game, the time to ask for these kinds of things was back in classic launch, the fact you only care about it now is further proof, you only have yourself to blame.
You think Ragnaros dying before a submerge phase was an “authentic” vanilla experience?
No, I tried at length to explain to people these are not the classes and the boss fights people experienced back in the day and how starting the game with all the bosses in there final nerfed state and giga-buffed classes was not the authentic experience, but again, you didn’t care.
I tried to explain how the classes and items had been buffed significantly over the games lifetime but again, you didn’t care “LOL VANILLA EZ GAME WHO CARES” was the response i got, every single time, why?

I mean i would LOVE to play on 3.0.2, since im maining a protpally.
But there´ve been heavy changes on some classes/specs during Wrath, and besides the ret nerf to the ground, most of them where actually totally justified.
In this thread there already was the mention of DKs aoe Fear with D&D, and i vividly remember the beast protpally was until patch 3.2 where they basically fixed his gearscaling from healpvp gear.
To give you a reminder: Originally protpally did not get spellpower from Strenght, protpally gained spellpower from STAMINA.
This led to the absurd situation of protpallys glyphing avengers shield, wearing pvp healgear (lots of spellpower and stamina with MORE spellpower), then womboing people in arena. Or healing someone with a holy light crit for 30k.
Similar issues with many other classes and specs.
It would be funny somewhat, but the modern day informed player would abuse the flawed systems, and if you would happen to play a class thats not stomping, you would feel even worse than today, where there already is an objectively better, but still tilted balance.

That is 99 percent to do with the fact its nostalgia driving your memories. And the fact we as players are way used to this stuff now. But ok blame it on the last patch I guess
It’s not even just class balance that they use the last patches for even tho it’s a huge reason why. Bug fixes and such they had to do throughout the expansion are already in now to. They use the most stable patch and pretty sensible it’d be the latest patch. Says things like might as well just drop last pvp set now then since it’s based on that patch or dropp icc now since it’s last patch. Then they would cry because their original timeline was changed lol. They are always gonna cry
Can we talk about the 1000 different bugs in wotlk arena that didn’t exist in original wotlk? I was hopeful they cared to fix the bugs at first, then they just stopped when it came to game breaking bugs like pet combat bug or silence not stopping Starfall or damage going through cloak of shadows or going through dispersion but not bubble or iceblock. I could go on forever and it’s endlessly disappointing because it’s simply a lack of effort.
Honestly we are all sipping the copium, ive been playing since the end of original wow and its all been declining since cata, they knew we would want a hit, theyd lose a third of their subscribers if they didnt sell us the classic bs. Why whole server is burnt out, they will jump back in for the first month of ulduar and then bounce again. Blizzard should stop after dragon flight take some years to develop a wow 2, sometime in the future after everything has settled and begin again.
