Yeah, because I was talking about the WoW community at large, which is why I cited the numbers on the most played specs and what class feedback usually looks like from the majority of players.
Um no, you come across as antagonistic to me because you’re unwilling to discuss anything in good faith with anyone and instead just wanna vaguely imply they’re bad players and only “heated argument” is the mode you’re willing to engage with others.
I, one time in now like 30 posts, said I now understood where their position comes from, and I have accused of being angry by you and that person multiple times because they don’t like my typing voice, lol.
This thread inherently is bad faith. Its very premise by the title is telling people theyre wrong and you know better than they do. Anything that follows is by default associated with that premise.
Nope not trying to be a victim. I want the game to be good in general. And feel good in general. The game needs more casuals playing it.
You can argue that casuals will never play wow and the long time players are going to be alienated by the changes sure. Valid. But still if they never do a simplification process, they will never know. No casuals want to dive into such a long lived game and stick to it for long if they feel it’s too much to learn. Blizz has to try this like it or not for the good of the overall
Do you think it’s possible to engage with me and I’ll respond to you in good faith, or do you only think I’ve been responding to you by being completely dismissive?
Prove it. I want to see your data on this. FFXIV has some very nice rotations and they’re way more than 4 button. So prove that people wouldn’t just flood that game if this went 4 button. FFXIV has way better graphics and WAY better professions AND all of the old content is still playable- unlike this game that destroyed all of it just to do squishes over and over again.
I don’t have my hands on the game currently in alpha to give you any feedback. I’d be glad to give feedback once I get my own eyes and hands on the changes but at best it’s just speculation on my part on if I like it or not.
and then countered you with
Based on the feedback I’ve seen from people who have played the alpha.
If were looking for consistent rules that probably isnt the place.
More keybinds doesn’t mean harder class. It just means more bloated and more of your damage is spread across more abilities, weakening main attacks.
FFXIV is massively simple in Job design compared to wow. You can google it. They literally specifically simplified the game on the whole recently for the Jobs. Black Mage is the biggest example. Summoner has been a big example for even longer than that.
FFXIV doesn’t have talent trees or specs to swap to either.
I mean WoW’s classes and boss mechanics are already more simple than FFXIV and people still choose WoW over FFXIV. FFXIV has problems right now, and IMO they all stem from the CEO of Square Enix investing millions into NFTs and then losing a bunch of money on it and not adequately funding their most popular game, FFXIV.
Like even if Midnight somehow ends up being awful and people leave this game, I don’t think they will go to FFXIV, it’s not in a good place right now lol.
I meant they have to deal with what the confines of what’s possible allow. Right now you look at the content with your eyes through the lens of a video. Later when beta is out for everyone, you play it. You’re misrepresenting me again. Idk what your deal is
Do you think as a 20 year WoW player, I don’t know what my exact rotation minus 2 buttons and no time constraints will feel like so much so that my opinion isnt valid?
I’m asking conversely, do you think a new or casual player should have to deal with the way the game is right now in TWW? You’re obviously super bothered by the state of demo lock and you’re valid for that. I just personally think they have time to iterate on it, whereas you clearly don’t.
