That said, almost anything they put out will be better than private servers, hell private servers are so broken raids are PUGable
When it comes to raids there was not a lot of data on them because only a small minority of players raided back then. So they had to make their best guess.
But once classic comes out they can (and probably will) obtain accurate data and incorporate that into their scripts.
A few private servers have put raids closer to what live was. You see PS ppl once in a while saying blizz should mod the bosses by changing x & y, like z server, when actually z server only brought the baseline easy raids from stock PS code closer to what was actually on vanilla.
