It has nothing to do with revealing and everything to do with setting the tone during holidays. If it’s always halloween, halloween isn’t as fun.

But I can’t have bunny ears on. Or wear my fire festival crown with a neat tmog. Or have a nice Brewfest vest or top hat.
Because that somehow will make people think that there’s a holiday going on. Wearing a single piece with other tmogs.

What a lie. I see people in the holiday stuff all the time during them. I prefer it how it is now and am glad Blizzard does also. I hope they never change it.

I actually think they were just fishing for compliments on their transmog with that comment. They surely didn’t think it had anything to do with ‘revealing’.
That’s the way to show self-awareness right there.

Sure some are like that but so what, lots of more revealing in the game already as you pointed out. So it makes no sense that would be the objection.

I’m a bit picky with seasonal stuff being mogged. I don’t want to see obviously real life based major holiday mogs all year-round. People do that was some skins and victory poses in Overwatch [mostly the Halloween stuff] and it annoys me like crazy.
So… items I don’t want to see all the time:
- Santa Outfits (both colors)
- Christmas Sweater (shirt slot thing)
- Bunny Ears (all colors)
- Egg Basket Offhand
- Jack-o-Lantern helmet
I don’t want those to be moggable. But everything else? Go for it.
Those Anniversary sunglasses? Sure. Spring Robes? Yeah sure we have similar robes anyway. Lunar Festival dresses are probably fine (but that might be because I don’t know a lot about what they’re inspired by). Midsummer Fire Festival set? Totally fine. Brewfest robes? Awesome. Forever-lovely Rose? Fumigator’s Mask? Yes and yes. Go for it.
God I could come up with the best rogue mog for the Fumigator’s mask.
Call me silly, but I feel like the reagent bank should be a currency window. It has a list of all the things you’ve stored, has no limit on how many of what you can store, has no limit on how many types of things you can store, crafts like it does now, and lets you “withdraw” items if you want to sell them.
Removing the restriction on unique/seasonal items, and white items, would free up almost two hexweave bags on my hunter. (What? She isn’t giving up her collection of hats she can’t transmog, nuh-uh.)

My bank alt hasn’t taken off his gaudy winterveil sweater since he got it. Doesn’t seem to have broken the game yet.
Everyone seems to think that WoW players will just make themselves look like clowns if Daddy Blizz isn’t there to shake a finger at us and ensure we dress like proper murder hobos.
Meanwhile, FFXIV has far fewer restrictions on their glamour system - including the ability to wear nothing but your underwear - and aside from the occasional naked catboy dancing on the city steps, you mostly see…players making themselves look like epic warriors. Imagine.
