i disagree with that personally out of the Vanilla TBC or Wrath i think wrath is the best and i would play wrath era before the other two but again thats a personal preference for me
I was all set to cynically agree with you (blizz will absolutely poop the bed on classic+), then I realized this was just yet another ultra desperate “please acknowledge era exists” thread trying to disguise itself as a classic+ thread.

The thing that sucks is we all know somehow they will mess it up and stuff will leak into era just it has before with other versions. And they won’t do anything unless the community rages, then they will say it was a bug/accidental even though we all know it will be on purpose and they are back peddling.
Era’s ruined by min-maxers and GDKPers. It isn’t the heart of Classic, for me, so I’ll see what’s available by the time it all goes down.

This is why we need a full return to 1.13 on Era, and a flush of all the existing Era logs so that the new 1.13 logs are all that count because chronoboon will no longer be in game.
Doing this also returns the old PvP system, and removed all those nasty SoM, SoD, TBC, Wrath and Annoversary bugs.
I would settle for old 1.14, the one we had before Wrath assuming that they please for the love of all that is holy get rid of this evil TBC PvP out of combat timer so that i can immediately drink / eat soon as my enemy is dead.

they already screwed up classic+… it’s called SoD

Try it. It’s hyped up a lot, but it ain’t really comparable to BNet WoW, imo.
No matter what they do, there will be criticisms. SoD was a pretty decent attempt, considering the team that’s working on it, and what they had to work with. While for sure there are some shortcomings, there were some pretty big wins, and learnings too!
I suppose it depends on how the team handles iteration. Do they learn from their mistakes and make corrections while embracing the things they did well and looking to improve on that?
Blizzard as a whole doesn’t feel like they have a great track record for this, just looking at the retail expansions as they’ve progressed. They’ve consistently introduced new systems that don’t quite land, but the instead of iterating on them, they abandon them entirely in the next expansion for something new.
With that, while SoD definitely didn’t land for me, I do think it had some wins. If nothing else, they delivered some new content in the classic setting, including a couple entirely new dungeons and a new raid. That’s pretty cool.

Zero chance. Era servers suck and are dead. There is a reason nobody plays on them.

No need to coerce or convince anyone. Whatever comes out will be trash in comparison and players will either migrate back, play another version of WoW or quit altogether.
Sounds like a win/win to me.
The reason why you have SoM, SoD, Hardcore, Cata/MoP Classic is because people really didn’t want to play vanilla, like Brack said. So the players aren’t blameless.
Whatever whacked out Ben and Jerry’s flavor of ice cream they produce with Classic + will be thanks to the people who want it. These devs and this community were made for each other.

I feel the Dark Forest Theory is a good explanation for Era right now (replace Earth with era servers and hostile alien civ’s with spergs)
Best thing us era players can do is be quite about the quality of era and hope the spergs don’t invade.
