So my civilian boss is this guy who own’s a goblin entertainment media compay and he pays crap. So the Pook has bills to pay and my day job doesn’t cut it so I sign up with The Alliance Militia for Low Level immortals and my C.O. Mathias, sends me on missions to steal flags and stuff. I don’t know why they need the flags, that’s above the Pook’s pay grade. Mathias wants his flag, or lumber mill or magic glowing Pandaren orbs fondled the Pook is going to my best to get the flag, lumber mill or gently cup those magic glowing Pandaren orbs until feels they’ve been caressed enough.
So it occurs to me, what would be something that would make both my civilian boss and my militia boss who sends SIX of us into the Seething Shore when the Horde sends TEN! What was I talking about again? Oh right, how do I make both the men in my life who I am contractually obligated to please, happy?
So when the Pook is stealing flags it occured to me. Everybody’s entire performance in this BG is just a bunch of bits of data. Where everyone is, what they’re doing can all just be recorded as data and then played back in a simulator with a free motion camera system that could cut from point to point creating a dynamic camera with abilities to record moments in the battle with cinematic camera work and editing.
My civilian boss would love it because it would mean he can show for sport the Pook’s day to day suffering at the hands of my militia boss. Right now all he can do is show what the Pook sees complete with my shot dominating HUD interface. Most BGs staring at the Pook’s backside while I’m stealthing my way to a flag because Mathias wants his flags isn’t really that captivating. Being able to cut in post from where the action is during editing would make for much more compelling visual story telling.
And then the guy who sends SIX of us into the Seething Shore when the Horde sends TEN would like it because it would let us study the battle ground tactically after the fact to see what went right and what went wrong. A lot of the times the Pook doesn’t see the guy who stopped that hunter who was about to one shot me when I capture the flag. A lot of the times the Pook is the one ruining that hunter’s day when he thought he had an easy kill on the efc. It’s nice to see how a whole team works together to get stuff done.
So yeah. I don’t know if this is something an add-on can accomplish or an intervention of the Blizzard Wizard is needed but man, the Pook would love that kind of visual story telling upgrade for battle grounds, dungeons, and raids. Could make some really neat stuff out of that.
Anyway, my gummy has kicked in so I’ll have an extra large ghost pepper chicken burrito and a large chocolate milkshake.
Oh! And did I tell you? I got this really cool rock from this guy on the island of Dragon Drama. It’s a pretty sweet rock.
