Its wild to me that there are people in here defending this move. Its all around not good for the player base; reinforcing the bullcrap predatory fomo bs that is taking over the gaming industry.
But internet strangers are going to internet stranger I guess.
An even wilder thought is that maybe people just don’t agree with you.
From the way the interviews/blue post read it seemed more like they planned to make the currency purchasable so people could “skip” if they wanted to.
But pulling items out of rotation to lock them behind a paywall just sucks all around.

That would be far more predatory and make the entire Trading Post pointless.
How? One is taking an item out of rotation and putting it behind a forced paywall with no alternative to earn.
One offers a way for the whales to pay for the stuff they want to pay for, and others to earn them.
Predatory would be raising the currency cost THEN allowing people to purchase the currency. Offering just an alternative, not so much.
Transparency to allow informed decisions for such things would be nice, but that’s expecting too much.
some people have no lives and can farm items in game with their 10,000 alts - some of us have jobs, spouses, and adult obligations and would just rather pay $25 for the shiny we like. What’s the big deal?

We’ve benefitted from the inverse, where they’ve dragged previous store stuff (Swift Zhevra, the starpony, the “You had to be unsubbed at the time” gryphon/wind rider) and made them trading post material. Them doing this is about par for the course, it isn’t surprising
There is no rotation. Its whatever they feel like, and previous month stuff notoriously doesn’t tend to come back. Its very rare for something to come back into rotation, in fact.
Wowhead got it wrong, its that simple. There was no guaranteed they’d even bring the broom back at all, it could have just been completely left out like, oh, the other 11 rewards from last year which haven’t re-appeared at all
Transparency = there’s no guarantee any item will ever be back in rotation.

No it doesnt. Sometimes the holiday comes and goes with nothing new at all.
I have not seen a single event where at least some minor housing item or pet wasn’t added.
I’m okay with this only if we get a new earnable Halloween mount.
One of the captain/pirate/whatever outfits that was first on the Trading Post was put into the shop. And several items in the shop were put into the Trading Post and a few put back on the shop.
We’ve known that’s how they’d rotate things. One of the old interviews even said it.
And there is nothing on that page that mentions anything you said.
