That’s on top of my main’s to-do list;

  • Conquest gathering.
  • Torghast.
  • Weekly M+ completion.
  • LFR for alts

Since I didn’t buy Shadowlands and have never regretted that decision, I guess the answer would have to be “no”.

I asked myself not long ago what it would take for me to buy Shadowlands. The answer was that they would have to fix PvP, to give a 2 tier honor/conquest gear vendor that was actually like wod.

They aren’t going to do that. They don’t think that the fact that PvP participation cratering has anything to do with the idea that they might have done something wrong, and they’re doubling down on the power gap, to make it even more unpleasant to be a new player trying to get into PvP without paying thousands of real dollars to the devs’ best buddies.

But what would it take for me to try Shadowlands? It would have to be free.

Alts and catch up mechanics are still a bit of a grind, yes. That part where you are locked out of all Shadowlands dungeons once you reach a certain ilevel because you have to unlock a certain quest line on each of yours alts (I think this is the case with at least two different dungeons / ilevels) is one of the things that could use some tweaking.

And another is being too squishy when you reach max level to even farm for basic gear (not good gear but basic gear like the gear from world quests), especially with mob density (which isn’t too bad once you get some gear but can be a pain when you’re a fresh 60).

I know it’s like this to a certain extent with fresh max level alts but I’m feeling it more now with my alts for some reason.

I didn’t want to shadowland my mage and rogue, and likely I will stop short of shadowlands with my warlock, I don’t care how ‘convenient’ Blizz appears to make it.

Also because, no alt has yet to match the fun of a demon hunter (though at this point I do wish they’d open up DH to other races - it’s a nice change seeing other faces).

I have 2 alts. Piddy here is Kyrian, my Warrior is Venthyr, and my DK Necrolord.

The only cosmetics I actually liked are Kyrian, so I’m not pursuing the others on that level at all.

I’m just grinding anima to get the transport system up to the Oribos portal, everything else at level 1. Since that’s the major goal, I’m not motivated to level up the sanctum for more anima ability. Getting the 18K necessary for the transport network is enough.

That said, my DK has Korthia open, which is a vibrant, easy source of anima.

My Warrior, who does not have Korthia, just works WQs and World Bosses. But he can not do Mor’geth because he does not have Beastwarrens open yet. The only way it could work is if someone summoned if just before the fight started and he tagges the boss before the zone wide debuff killed him.

That said, he has a minor benefit over the DK. Without Korthia open, his source for Renown is the Anima quest and any of the callings or the souls quests.

On the DK the second source is only Shaping Fate. So, getting the two renown each week is simpler.

The Venthyr court doesn’t really interest me, the abomination factory is “ok” but it’s not a priority. I’ve done both campaigns, and I’ve run Torghast trying to get Companions for the Adventure table, where i seem to just be leveling companions in order to level…more…companions. Piddy has got several mounts from the Kyrian table. I keep playing it, dunno why.

I have not bothered to look at legendaries on either my Warrior or DK. They do +5s fine, nobody seems to care, nobody shouts out and points fingers. I imagine I’ll get them some day, it’s just not a priority.

DK is striving to finish the Korthia Campaign. Warrior is working on the Oribos portal. And they’re starting to run a +5 each week for the vault.

I go into it not planning to ever have good legendaries and conduits for them, so it works out.

Only unlock the transportation for the oribos portal.
