Of course, I never could really understand why someone would continue to follow a game that they proclaim to hate with such passion. It’s quite alright if you don’t enjoy the game. Perhaps a new expansion will change that for you… or perhaps not. Go find a game that you really like and play it. Harassing a development team and a player-base because your don’t like a game anymore… just seems like you’re hurting yourself more than anything =(

Dude. Some of us love the game, but are waiting for it to improve. Their 8.1 changes alone are making me want to rejoin…that and the General Discussion community. I love you guys

You can be informed on the state of the game without a sub. There are many resources. Taliesin and evitel. Belluar. Asmongold even. Maybe you watch wow on twitch. Maybe you keep up with patch notes. Maybe you couldn’t sub for a week or two.

I personally think it’s a great change since it coupled with new ways to include moderation by the player base, which hopefully will mean the trolls, both unsubbed and subbed, will be put in their corner.

I can watch youtube videos, twitch streams and read forums about the current game. And as a former player who left for whatever reason, my input is valid- I would most likely return if I saw things that I liked happening in game. But if I am unable to give my thoughts at all without first paying to speak, then I would remain silent and Blizz devs would never know what sort of things might bring me back as a paying customer.
